Sennedjem is a quest-exclusive NPC who appears in the Event Story Quest Toys for the Children in Where Waves Meet the Reef: Part III - Toys for the Children.
Profile
Sennedjem is an Eremite who was originally part of Khaemwaset's tribe, but he and a few others left after the tribe's oasis had dried up. This was viewed by the others as cowardly, and both he and his group later returned asking to be taken in. While most of the tribe refused due to their selfishness, Khaemwaset allowed him to return, as the oasis could handle the extra people and he felt it wasn't worth shedding blood over.
He eventually learned of Ashvapati's work and met with him, offering to provide him with the funding and materials required to advance his research. Ashvapati considered and eventually agreed, making Sennedjem extremely rich as he sold the weapons to other Eremite tribes. Realizing what he had done, Ashvapati later confronted him and demanded to leave, refusing to take part in his scheme any longer. Slightly disgusted by his morals, Sennedjem later revealed that he had sold the weapons to the tribe's enemies, wiping them out and left without looking back.
Over the course of ten years, Sennedjem would make a name for himself as a notorious international arms dealer, selling extremely advanced weaponry. These weapons would make their way into Liyue and Fontaine, overwhelming the local authorities. They were not able to trace him either until Ashvapati managed to find some information and leaked it to them, revealing that he would be present in Nasha Town's annual trade expo. Knowing the risks, he had numerous associates infiltrate the expo to procure the weapons, but they were all apprehended by Yelan and Chevreuse.
Learning of the "sale" that the authorities had placed in order to draw Sennedjem out, Ashvapati set several stolen prototype ballistae on the location before meeting up with him. Seeing that he hadn't lost his touch, Sennedjem asked Ashvapati if he would reconsider working together once again. Ashvapati vehemently refused and fired the weapons on himself, causing Senendjem to panic and order his men to break him until he lowered the barrier. As the shots were intercepted by Beidou and her crew, Sennedjem and the rest of his men were taken into custody by Chevreuse and the Gardes, where they would be extradited to Fontaine to answer for their crimes.
