He is located by the theater's entrance, serving as a bemused spectator of Balkonov and Yadova's theatrics.

Etymology
- Vzdykhalov's name comes from the Russian word вздыхать vzdykhat', which can mean either "sigh" or "longing." His name is likely meant to play into the Romeo and Juliet parody alongside Balkonov and Yadova (see Balkonov § Trivia for details).
