A Post-Honkai Odyssey/Ruins
Last updated 2025-10-02
The Ruins is a virtual combat system designed by Schicksal based on the landform of St. Fountain, the city of rebirth after the Honkai calamity. Using the data collected by satellite and field investigations, the system is able to simulate enemies encountered by the squad for them to have repeated training so as to improve their combat capabilities.
Ruins is a floor-based challenge map. It is a virtual combat system which uses the data collected by Schicksal to simulate the areas within St. Fountain and the monsters encountered by the squad for repeated training. There are a total of 23 floors in the Ruins. Quest Rewards are delivered at the end of each cycles. Defeating all enemies in a single floor allows the player to proceed on the next floor. The floors' difficulty is dynamic.
Rules
- Finalization Cycle
- Like the Adventure Map, a session opens every other week. It opens at 04:00 every Monday and closes at 02:00 next Monday. During 02:01 ~ 03:59 each Monday, the Ruins system will automatically tally players' performances, and the Ruins will close during this period.
- Enemies in the Ruins will change every week. Rankings and floors will also be reset.
- Difficulty Upgrades
- Clear a floor to enter the next floor. The difficulty of the floors will be incremental.
- Weather
- Weather conditions can affect certain skills. It is a buff that applies to all players and changes every cycle. Players are recommended to utilize different Talents and skills under different Weather conditions for optimal performance.
- Performance of the player characters' skills are highly dependent on the talent skills they have unlocked or upgraded.

- Special Effects
- Similar to Weather, each cycle has several conditional buffs that will take effect once the requirements are met. These buffs also apply to all players.
- For example, if the Special Effects is dealing 30% more damage while on midair, the player character must attack the enemies while on midair in order to apply the special buffs.

- Score Info
- Score gained in Ruins is based on the time spent on clearing the floors, by which all players will be ranked on the ranking list.
- Note: Failing to challenge a floor (quitting a floor halfway also counts as failing) will not make Captain's lose points, but they'll need to restart from the nearest Save Point. For example, if a Captain failed to challenge Floor 7, and the nearest Save Point is the end of Floor 5 (which is also the beginning of Floor 6), then they will start from the beginning of Floor 6 when they challenge again.
- Save Point
- After a player has reached a Save Point, data of the cleared floors will be saved.
- If the player quits halfway in battle, they can restart from the highest floor before the nearest Save Point. And when a player has cleared the next floor of a Save Point, they will gain all points of the floors before the Save Point. Reach those Save Points to challenge higher floors!
- Players who have cleared all floors can reset the data and go back to the nearest Save Point and clear the floors again to break their own record. (All points of the floors before the Save Point will be counted.)
- Rankings
- There are many players training in the Ruins at the same time. Please be aware that the sole factor of a Captain's ranking among all the players is their score.
- Rewards
- There are two different types of rewards for Ruins training: score rewards and ranking rewards. Score rewards are automatically issued every time a player has scored a certain number of points.
- Ranking rewards are issued when a player enters the Ruins again after the Monday Finalization.
- All enemies in Ruins drop
Krystallum. - Floor achievement rewards can be claimed after reaching the specified floors at the end of battle.
