Flame-Chasers of the Elysian Realm is a group of thirteen simulated Flame-Chasers who manifest from the real ones from the Previous Era. The real Flame-Chasers uploaded their memories to the Golden Courtyard to train future generations and to tell the tale of thirteen people who were not heroes but still challenged the Honkai.^[1][2]

Overview

This version of the Thirteen Flame-Chasers is a manifestation of the "real" Thirteen Flame-Chasers. Their goals are to train people to fight the Honkai and to tell the tale of the Thirteen Flame-Chasers to future generations. Each member bears a "Signet", each of which was named by one of the original Flame-Chasers, "Elysia".^[3]

History

The behavior and memories of the simulated Flame-Chasers are based on the last time the "real" Flame-Chasers uploaded their minds to the Golden Courtyard using SO-1129 tech. This tech creates a new world by generating mental images from neural activity and restoring what the brain has perceived. The technology reads all the memories uploaded by the Flame-Chasers, including those they wish to keep, share, or deny. Each memory is then identified, awakened, and transformed before being extracted from and then reinserted into their minds, a process which is repeated countless times.^[4] After being uploaded, the memories of the simulated Flame-Chasers can be synced with the "real" Flame-Chasers with the help of a psychic MANTIS soldier to prevent uploading errors.^[5]

The first batch of Elysian Realm simulations included Su, Sakura, Mobius, and Hua. All thirteen Flame-Chasers were completely uploaded in the second batch.^[5]

Before confronting the Herrscher of Corruption, the simulated Flame-Chasers deemed Raiden Mei complete. After she gained all the Signets from the Flame-Chasers' trials, they congratulated her on her graduation. Elysia then stated that the Elysian Realm and the simulated Flame-Chasers had already finished their purpose and were going to shut down the Elysian Realm.^[6]
