Trip to Meow Town
Training Records

The story begins with the tale of the King of Night Cats, who blessed the world that escaped finality through an invisible magic net. It was a benign envoy that guided the masses out of the desert to build a prosperous nation and bring peace. It has been foreshadowed that the peaceful Kingdom of Cats would soon fall to disaster, and that it was a girl who lifted the curtains to this conspiracy by chance. However, that is a story for another day, and the girl is still chasing the sun.
The scene changes to Susannah attempting to mimic Durandal's movements in the training room, and triggering Durandal's warm-up mode as a result, much to Susannah's surprise and joy. She later regrets doing so, as the training proved much more difficult to handle than expected and cries once the training had concluded.
She notices several missed calls on her phone and picks up the next call she receives, revealing that it was Alvitr all along. Alvitr reveals that she is heading to a new post tomorrow, much to Susannah's surprise, to which Alvitr wonders if Susannah hasn't checked Schicksal Gossip because she was training so hard. Susannah says it's because she's studying for the upcoming Valkyrie Exam. Alvitr reassures her, saying she's certain she'll pass if she just proceeds as usual, which Susannah is unable to do as she chokes up under pressure and could only perform well during practice.
Alvitr tells Susannah to relax and informs her that the captain and the adjutant (of the Immortal Blades) are going to a town near the Schicksal HQ for vacation tomorrow, which comes as a pleasant surprise to her. Alvitr adds that Susannah is going with them as well, confusing Susannah as she thought she was traveling, as she had received pictures of scenery from her yesterday. She notices that the pictures have a caption saying that Theresa invited her to train B-rank Valkyries for the exam, which she doesn't really want to do, and feels that she should check in on Susannah instead as she is distressed, making Susannah feel remorseful for worrying her.
Susannah realizes that she'll be able to meet Susannah and be trained by three S-rank valkyries, and becomes excited. Alvitr offers her an opportunity to send her where they are, and she immediately accepts. Alvitr says she heard from Rita that the Overseer wants to establish a preparatory training school and that this vacation would be the perfect opportunity for her.
Susannah excitedly agrees, much to Alvitr's expectations, and suggests meeting at the tower station at tomorrow noon before hanging up. Susannah makes up her mind to train some more before packing up so that the S-rank valkyries can feel her progress.
Meow Town

Susannah is busy taking pictures of the town when she is spotted by Durandal and Rita, who thank her for offering to help take pictures of the daily lives of the Valkyries, to which Susannah responds, saying that taking pictures in such a pretty town is a vacation as well. Rita denies by saying it’s only a vacation when one can relax completely without working, and adds that Durandal should follow suit since she agreed to Rita’s opinion.
Soon, Li Sushang arrives, complimenting Susannah’s cute outfit, to which she responds by saying it’s a battlesuit that she really loves and wants to adapt to completely. Sushang recounts her recent travels and states she bought gifts for everyone, one of which turned out to be a figure of Arahato. She asked a local in the area what the most attractive item was and was directed to the figure. She found out from Durandal, Rita, and Susannah that it’s from an anime series known as Arahato: Blade of Chaos, which is really popular with children, youths, and adults, and that she is in possession of a rare limited edition figure that can only be bought from select stores, surpassing Sushang as the price was quite expensive for a toy meant for children.
Sushang is pleased that the others liked it and mentions that she has quite a lot on her after Rita solved her money problem. She says she was trying to operate an ATM machine which she was unfamiliar with after noticing that there were no staff and everyone was lining up towards the machine, and was arrested and bought to a government office for appearing suspicious, but was later released after signing some papers. Afterwards Rita taught her how to use an ATM.
Durandal wonders why Sushang still uses cash, since nowadays, people use cards to pay, or pay online. Sushang says it feels weird to pay with a card as it doesn’t feel like she used any money at all, and prefers using cash as it’s more tangible. Durandal agrees, saying that although modern technology is convenient, it lacks a sense of reality as well, and that it must be hard for Sushang when she’s traveling.
Sushang states that although she doesn’t understand many things regarding the world, she can still slowly learn about them, and she even received help from a new friend during her travels, a young girl named Kitty, who arrives some time later after Sushang wondered where she went off to. Kitty says she was playing with some cats from behind a tree nearby. She then introduces herself to the girls in a bubbly manner.
Sushang says first met her in France, who offered to be her guide and was the one who recommended the gifts for her. She joined Sushang on her travels to learn how to be a Valkyrie after Sushang said she was one.
Rita wonders whether her parents know about this, to which Kitty nervously responds that her mother is very supportive and quickly changes the topic to Stan, the cat in Rita arms, and asks if she could play with him. Rita gives the green light and she quickly heads out to turn with Stan to play, but not before Sushang telling her to return for dinner at the resort.
Durandal wondered whether it’s alright for a child to remain attended like this, to which Sushang responds it’s fine, as a child wouldn’t dare to follow a stranger without her mother’s permission. She then recalls that Theresa asked her to return to Schicksal to do paperwork, and asks the girls to take care of Kitty in her stead if she’s willing to stay. Durandal feels uncertain, but Rita readily agrees.
Meanwhile, Susannah is in daze, fantasizing about the S-rank Valkyries being near her while making remarks about their glamorous appearances and presence. She later comes back to her senses after being called out by Alvitr, who says that everyone left after she reassured everyone that she’s fine. Susannah asks what Alvitr told them, to which she responds that she said “Don’t worry, Susannah must be fantasizing again!”, shocking Susannah. Alvitr laughs, saying she was just joking and that she said Susannah was contemplating the camera angle, to which Susannah angrily responds not to scare her like that, and that she already wrote a 30,000-word long apology letter.
After the two finish bickering, Alvitr invites her to look around the town together as it's her noon break. Alvitr explains the town's history to her, saying it became a popular tourist spot due to its large cat population, and that the people believe cats bring good luck; the elderly believe they bring happiness to those cats approach, and the opposite when they leave. She also says that the people love cats so much, that they named the town "Meow Town", which got its name from the legend of Knight Kat.
It is said that after the Great Eruption ended, the townsfolk celebrated, but were left lost and empty as a result. As people were at a loss and crime rates were high, Knight Kat protected the town at night. Following its emergence, the cat population gradually increased, filling the emptiness inside people with their fluffy appearance and free spirit. These cats were later regarding as being the symbol of Knight Kat.
Susannah tries to hug a few cats, but they all run away from her, making Susannah worried that something bad might happen to her. Alvitr rebukes her for being superstitious, which she immediately denies. She then asks Alvitr what she does to make her so popular with the cats. She thinks that Susannah was being too friendly, and that cats aren't like dogs, so they need personal space. She says that getting along with a free and independent animal is tricky in the first place.
Susannah asks her to teach her some tricks, but Alvitr says she doesn't know, as the cats flocked to her without her doing anything, leaving Susannah at a loss for words. Alvitr suggests asking Rita, who is close with Stan, before she left saying she'll be going to her shift and wishing her luck.
After waving goodbye, Susannah is determined to make cats like her and decides on where to head next.
