The Sky People, also known as Interstellar Predators, are the main antagonists of A Post-Honkai Odyssey.

Overview

While it is unclear how they achieved this, their level of technology far exceeds that of many other races including humanity's. They are capable of destroying other planets to take their Honkai energy. The Sugars, who fell victim to the Sky People, had to abandon their physical forms and escape their planet to avoid extinction.^[1][2] The Sky People have a simple strategy for setting up an invasion: they send a Vanguard Stone to search for a planet,^[3] and if it is suitable they send its coordinates to their home-world for reference.

A Vanguard Stone is actually a space shuttle disguised as an asteroid—used both to discover and possibly attack a planet.^[3] Depending on the level of civilization that is found, the scouts in the Vanguard Stone can decide to do one of two things: send coordinates back home or cut off communication entirely. The latter is only done if a civilization more powerful than that of the Sky People's is found.

After cutting off the connection, the Vanguard Stone is launched directly at the star in hopes of destroying it and all evidence that they were there.

With civilizations weaker than them, they do the former, and monitor the civilization. Rather than aiming for the destruction of said planet, they plant scouts there. These scouts can harvest Honkai energy or remain hidden.

Once the weaker civilization has advanced enough for Honkai energy levels to be at their peak, the Sky People will wage war to collect it. After collecting everything they need, they erase all traces of that civilization and its people.

Trivia

• The names given to the Sky People are mainly based on Tarot Deck cards (specifically the Major Arcana).
• According to Void Archives, the right hand is considered "unclean" to the Sky People, and only slaves show it uncovered in public.^[4]
  • On that note, they have many colonies with slaves, which they control with the "Nerve Worm" (the Lover).^[5][6]
• Void Archives also mentions that the Sky People look into parallel universes for targets as well.^[7]
• They are creations of Sa that hunt for Honkai energy.^{[citation needed]}
