Void Archives
Last updated 2026-04-28
Void Archives is the name of the First Divine Key, that accompanied Otto Apocalypse for 500 years of the other's pursuit of his goal. He re-emerged in A Post-Honkai Odyssey as the main antagonist, stalling Squad 3's investigations of Welt Yang and Joffrey Joyce Yang's whereabouts. In Welt Yang's A-Rating scene, he reveals that PROMETHEUS is also part of him.
Appearance
Void Archives appears to be a small, translucent yellow cube. Within it exists a giant library with archives of data from Previous Era.
During the events of A Post-Honkai Odyssey and Alien Space, he took the likeness of Otto Apocalypse with similar long blonde hair and green-colored eyes. He sports a white and dark gray coat and wears a gold gauntlet on his right hand.
Story
Elan Palatinus
For a long time, Void Archives was kept in the Schicksal church, where Otto found him, wanting to find out how to resurrect Kallen Kaslana's father, who saved them from Honkai Beasts. Void Archives wanted to use the boy to take his body for himself. However, Kallen refused to resurrect her father, because it would have cost Otto his life. Therefore, Otto began to use Archives as a source of knowledge. And after Kallen died, Otto began to use the Archives library more actively in search of knowledge about how to resurrect Kallen, about Honkai, Herrschers and other things that could help him. Thus, Void Archives became a prisoner of Otto for a long 500 years.
Having been in Otto's head for so long, he learned all his secrets and knew him best.
A Post-Honkai Odyssey
After Otto died, Archives somehow got out of the imaginary space and returned to Earth. On his return, he went to get one of Otto's hidden Soulium clones and used it as his own body.
Void Archives decided that Honkai's imprisonment on the Moon was not enough, and he was not able to get rid of it once and for all on his own. Somehow, he was able to contact the Sky People and get the Vanguard Stone, thanks to which the coordinates of the Earth were sent to the Sky People.
Later he is seen in a cutscene where he tries to negotiate with Welt Yang with his plans, however Yang rejected his offer and berates him a 'coward'. It's possible that he has caused the train where Yang and Joyce rides to become derailed.
It can be seen from the plot dialogue of Post-Honkai Odyssey that Otto had died after having been defeated eight years ago, but he intercepted the recording of Otto when he was destined to investigate the 3rd Schicksal Investigation Team in St. Fountain.
In the final chapter 'The Verdict', after the Schicksal squad reached the top of a floating castle, he applauded them for their efforts, only to summon Lucheni (which was revealed to be Code XXI - World) to dispose of them.
Trivia
