Susannah's Story 1: Susannah's Repentance Statement

Statement of Repentance
With a guilty conscience, I would like to make an apology for my misdeed during my training here at HQ, and I hope other Valkyries can learn from my experience and avoid making the same mistake in the future.
Several days ago, I naively believed the rumors that spread among Valkyries about Master Durandal, the leader of Immortal Blades, and was therefore distracted from my training. After Master Durandal graciously explained the truth, I still deliberately made up several untrue stories at the instigation of my comrades, which further deepened the misunderstanding and disturbed everyone's work and life.
I hereby repent of what I have done and pledge to never spread or create rumors again. From now on, I will always bear in mind my duty as a Valkyrie, which is to fight for all that is beautiful in the world.

— By Susannah Manatt

Comments: Miss Manatt has been diligent throughout her training at HQ, and has conscientiously fulfilled all tasks assigned to her. Her misbehavior stemmed from the delay in an internal information update and is therefore excusable. I believe that Miss Manatt has learned her lesson and will become an outstanding Valkyrie in the future.

"That's all I know about the Knight Moonbeam battlesuit. There's something about the info that feels fishy, like they're hiding something. But I don't have access to more files anyway..."
"If only I could wear it one day..."
"Well, they haven't found any adaptive yet, so you might still have a chance, Susannah."
"Really?! Yay!"
"But the size of some modules might need some adjustment."
"Hey! Did you just call me fat!"

Susannah's Story 4: Siamese Cat in the Moonlight

It was a quiet moonlit night, with only the faint sound of the trees rustling in the breeze. A few wisps of cloud in the sky soundlessly disappeared as the night deepened.
"How is that thing going?" Said the hologram of a woman.
"I'm working on it, meow." A huge Siamese cat on the roof almost merged into the night. The hologram was projected from his collar.
"It's a rare opportunity," the woman continued, "that maid's more a talker than a doer. And the other one, though an S-rank Valkyrie, always drops her guard in front of you. There's no way you could screw it up."
"Meow." The cat responded indifferently, licking his paw.
"By the way," the woman changed the subject all of a sudden, "have you put on some weight lately?"
"Wha... no way! I work out every day! These are muscles!"
"Okay, good for you. Remember, you are an ultimate creature that I made. Take good care of your body and make the most of it."
The cat let out an angry purpur.
"Alright, I gotta go. The Serpent expects good news from you."
The woman hung up.
The cat let out a sigh. "Ugh, the same old talk as usual. I can terminate the target in a flash when I feel like it." He looked up at the night sky. The moonlight shed a soft glow on his sharp claws.
"Whatever, I'll do it tonight."
He took a deep breath, and hopped into the maid's bedroom from the window without making any noise.
The maid was sound asleep in her bed.
"Humph, defenseless. I knew it." Thought the Siamese cat.
He soundlessly leaped onto her bed and raised his claws, the nail tips protruding above the maid's graceful bare neck.
Suddenly, he noticed a piece of paper on the nightstand —
"Recipe for Stan's can-free meal"
"..."
The cat retracted his nails and left the room as quietly as he hopped in.
"Humph, wouldn't hurt to spare such an easy target's life for one more day."
He looked up at the moon again.
"I'll do it tomorrow night."

Susannah's Story 5: Crammed Car

When I was a child, we had a family car. It was very cheap and small, but still cost my parents' two years of savings plus a loan.
We were very poor at that time, but Dad always told my sisters and me that we should go out and see the big world so that we wouldn't miss our lives.
He used to take the whole family out for trips in that small car. Grandpa on the passenger seat holding my little sis, and Grandma, Mom, and my big sis on the back seats with me sitting on her lap — the whole family crammed into that cheap small car and traveled all nearby cities.
My little sis and I always complained how uncomfortable our lap seats were, while my big sis always complained that I was heavy (no I was not!) and her legs hurt. And one time, she and I had a big fight, so I screamed in the car — "When I grow up and become rich, I'll buy a huge car! A convertible! And I'll go out for a ride in it without you!"
Everyone laughed. My big sis taunted me — "Yeah, you do that, if you can afford one."
Dad was the only one who didn't laugh. He just cast a fond glance at me from the driver's seat.
Ten years later, I became a soldier fighting against Honkai.
When I was a child, I didn't have my own room. I had to sleep in the same bed with my two sisters. But now, I have a room so big that I couldn't even believe it's all mine. I bought a big convertible like I said, and have traveled a lot of cities in it. I even traveled many countries driving an airplane during my "duty patrols"...
But I miss that small family car filled with laughter.
I lied to my big sis at that time — actually, what I really wanted was to buy a spacious convertible and invite her to sit comfortably on the passenger seat for a ride, so that she wouldn't have to bear my increasing weight as I grew up. But this wish of mine will never come true — they were taken away by Honkai a long time ago...
And I barely drive my convertible ever since. Because it's too dreadfully big and empty, compared to that small, crammed car.
I miss that crammed car.

"What do you think? I wrote this after I heard Alvitr's The MOTHs story about you."
"It's great. You should be a writer, Susannah."
"Heehee~ I kinda wrote it based on my own experience. My dad used to take the whole family on trips when I was a kid. Though I can call them anytime, I still miss them a lot..."

Susannah's Story 6: Captain Shakespeare's Poem

A high wall was build by the Emperor, and the sky was torn.
Allow me to share with you, my dear friends,
The story of a fair maiden who saved a world.

The maiden came from beyond the stars;
Her silky hair shone like the first glimmer of dawn.
She vanquished the monstrous beast of the ocean;
Which turned the first page of her glorious saga.

Companions' hearty laughter was her beacon;
Precious pain and hope gave her valor.
So she set foot on the soil of numerous countries,
And eventually gripped the hilt of her fated Holy Blade.

The Emperor's high wall shattered before her sword;
And the torn sky healed up in its glow.
The land trembled and the roaring waves surged.
The maiden suspired, as the moment of parting had come.

She held the Holy Blade aloft, which bathed her in effulgence;
Shinier than the finest gold, dazzling as the sun.
"So long, friends!"
The maiden bade her farewell.
"This shan't be the end;"
"Beyond the glittering stars,"
"I will still be protecting this world."

It's the eternal glory of our world.
If you wonder the maiden's name:
It resonates with the name of the Holy Blade — Durandal.

"But, Captain Shakespeare, who do you think could play the role of such an amazing person?"
"Ah, my friend, that's a very good question."
