Diamond

Diamond is the rank P47 head of the Strategic Investment Department of the Interastral Peace Corporation, leader and founder of the Ten Stonehearts, and an Emanator of Preservation.^[1]

Story

After the Interastral Peace Corporation received an invitation to a banquet from The Family,^[2] Diamond convinced Taravan, the head of Building Material Logistics Department, to lend his support in favor of the project regarding business on Penacony. Subsequently, he assigned Aventurine to this project^[3], as he wanted to resolve the issue peacefully, whereas having Opal or Obsidian handle it would likely result in unnecessary violence.

While Aventurine was successful in discovering the secrets of Dreamflux Reef, helping prepare the stage for both Jade and Topaz and coming back alive, he lost his cornerstone in the process, something which Diamond found unacceptable and called Jade to discuss what they would do with him. After Penacony returned to the IPC's commercial portfolio, the Ten Stonehearts ultimately decided to forgive Aventurine for the loss of his cornerstone during the operation, with Opal serving as the tiebreaker. Diamond approved of the outcome, knowing that he would need the support of the Ten Stonehearts to support Qlipoth in the upcoming war and had his cornerstone restored.^[4]

Diamond tasked Aventurine with finding the traitor within the Ten Stonehearts, while denying any assistance to the latter so as to guarantee plausible deniability in the cause Aventurine fails in his mission.^[5]
