The Strategic Investment Department is a department of the Interastral Peace Corporation.

Description

Overview

The Strategic Investment Department is one of the seven major departments of the Interastral Peace Corporation. The department is responsible for major business and investment deals across a number of planets, such as Jarilo-VI and Penacony. Operations are split into various teams, each being led by a member of the Ten Stonehearts. Diamond is head of the Strategic Investment Department and leader of the Ten Stonehearts.^[2]

Teams

Special Debts Picket Team

Also known as the Special Debt Marshal Force,^[3] the Special Debts Picket Team specializes in debt collection for planets with outstanding loan balances from the IPC. The objective of the team is to collect these debts from the planet's authoritative body, or otherwise negotiate a compromise. This often entails the planet becoming property of the IPC, and its inhabitants becoming employees.^[4] The Special Debts Picket Team is led by Director Topaz.

Aventurine's Team

While not named, Director Aventurine does have his own team, though according to him, he doesn't have as many capable workers over the rank of P30 as Topaz's team. After Penacony had been re-incorporated into the IPC's distribution of shares, Aventurine stated he was in need of a new project manager. According to Topaz, Aventurine has very few people working for him due to his work habits.^[5]

The Ten Stonehearts is a ten-member group made up of high-ranking directors. With the inclusion of Diamond, there are eleven directors in the department.^[6]
