To the Honorable CEO:

We, the descendants of the original inhabitants of Benzaitengoku, stand before you today as supplicants for the survival of our civilization. Under the weight of credit-forged shackles, we present this petition. To the IPC, we may be nothing more than "inefficient assets" on a ledger, yet we pray that sliver of hope remains in the wall of the Preservation for our voices to be heard.

When the IPC fished our world out of the canvas, the Marketing Development Department declared that we had been granted "the honorable status of cosmic citizens" and "unlimited opportunities for growth." We understood the IPC's original intentions, and we once marveled at the majesty of starships and the vast cosmos.

However, the IPC failed to understand the true nature of the World in Canvas: the place where our ancestors dwelled was not a dilapidated corner, but a fully realized, beautiful eternal realm. Even if the cosmos were engulfed in flames and the stars ravaged by calamity, not a trace of it would reach within the canvas.

The act of "salvaging," though termed "Preservation," has in truth exposed Planarcadia once more to the threat of "Destruction," thereby pushing the entire world deeper into the IPC's control.

We are well aware that, in the IPC's eyes, everything can be traded. Therefore, we shall attempt to plead our case in a logic you might understand:

Long-Term Cost-Benefit Assessment: According to our statistics, the costs of maintaining the physical existence of Seafeld City, including infrastructure upkeep, security management, and the high frequency of psychological interventions required due to cultural incompatibility, have already exceeded the economic benefits generated by our work. There is no need for the IPC to continue operating the physical assets of Planarcadia.

Brand Reputation Risk: Retaining a group of residents with low productivity who continuously voice "non-economic appeals" does not align with the values of "Interastral Peace." Allowing us to return to the canvas, however, could be framed as a model of "respecting a civilization's right to self-determination," a valuable case study for the IPC's brand image.

Spirit of Contract: We respectfully remind you that, according to the Memorandum of Understanding on the Acceptance of Civilizations issued by the IPC's "Traditional Projects Division," forced assimilation may already constitute a violation of the relevant provisions. Should this matter be publicly questioned by the Intelligentsia Guild, the damage to the IPC's "Strategic Investment Department" would far outweigh the cost of a dignified strategic retreat.

Yet in our hearts, there is only one true reason: our souls are woven from ink and image, and cannot breathe for long in a world ruled by steel and credit.

We respectfully request that the IPC's "Technology Department" assist us in re-encapsulating Seafeld City into the canvas. We willingly embrace a finite form of existence, one that is undisturbed by the outside world.

We invite Director Topaz as a witness. We recall the compassion she once showed Jarilo-VI. Let us depart with dignity, not written off as bad debt.

The universe is vast enough to hold the quiet stillness of a single painting.
