Mingxi (Chinese: 明曦) is a mission-exclusive NPC on The Xianzhou Luofu present during the Aurum Alley's Hustle and Bustle event. Later, she can be found as an NPC on Astropolis, located in Astropolis Central District.

- Mingxi: Welcome to the Upside-Down Restaurant! Limited exotic delicacies from the Xianzhou are available... ahem, I'm too used to this speech.

- Mingxi: Alright, you start.
- What's it like working in Astropolis?
- Mingxi: Honestly? Not bad at all, especially after I became manager. Nothing beats watching those downsized P36 employees working under me. Free trade, friendly ties. You know how it is.
- Mingxi: But to keep a business alive in Astropolis, you've gotta juggle a lot of things. The most important one? Promotion. Sometimes, even a good wine needs a bush. So you've got to have a hook.
- Mingxi: The good news is, us Xianzhou fols have never lacked for "specialty dishes." Take your pick: Sugarball-Friend Viscorpi, Fried Flying Jellyfish, Mung Bean Soup Noodles... I mean, don't those names alone just get your blood pumping?
You mean my blood pressure pumping?- Sounds rather unpalatable.
- Mingxi: Yep. That's why I hired a bunch of competitive eaters to livestream their attempts at these specialty dishes. Finish the plate, and the meal's on me. With all that clout they bring in, how could business ever go bad?
- Who's the chef here?
- Mingxi: Shush... I mean, the "Servis" robot.
- Mingxi: Look, we used to have human chefs, but Astropolis has way too many picky customers. There was always someone complaining that dishes cooked by organic beings weren't "hygienic" enough.
- Mingxi: Fortunately, quite a few Xianzhou aurumatons know how to cook. I copied that part of the source code, ported it to "Servis" robots, and let them handle the Xianzhou dishes.
- Mingxi: These "Servis" robots are real sharp cookies. They know a bad performance means getting the boot, they're all busting their humps to master the culinary arts. More than half the dishes on the menu are their inventions.
- Mingxi: Give them a few more years, and this restuarant probably won't even need a manager anymore. Not that I ever planned to stay here forever anyway. Twenty years, tops. Then I'm off to my next gig.
- Is the food here authentic Xianzhou cuisine?
- Mingxi: Come on now. I'm a true-blue Xianzhou native through and through. You really think I'd sell you some half-friend knockoff?
- Mingxi: Remember Yancui from Spices Supreme? She's our supplier. Whenever a customer orders a real heavyweight dish, I have her hunt down the ingredients in advance. That freshness is everything in Xianzhou cooking.
- Mingxi: Until one time... maybe she went a little too easy on the catch. A plate of raw terror-shrimp pickles came straight back to life on the table and started brawling with the customers. Yeah... Now we only serve fully cooked food.
- Mingxi: But then again, back in the Xianzhou, nobody would ever order a whole table's worth of food for themselves. It'd be such a waste. But the folks in Astropolis? They don't sweat that kind of thing. They've got money to burn.
