Various scripts or languages can be found across different locations while exploring worlds in Honkai: Star Rail. This article compiles the scripts that can be seen throughout the game.

Universal Script

Universal Script (unofficial name) is the most common writing system used that appears primarily on Herta Space Station, Jarilo-VI, and in tutorial images. The usage of this script system by major factions such as the Nameless in the Data Bank and the Interastral Peace Corporation in their contract with the Architects suggests this is the universal script throughout the Cosmos. The scripts used on Penacony and Amphoreus also appear to be based on this.

Xianzhou Script

Xianzhou Script (unofficial name) is the writing system found on the Xianzhou Luofu that is possibly instituted by the entire Xianzhou Alliance.

The script is based on Chinese small seal script and can be found written horizontally from left to right or vertically from top to bottom. It is typically written with the first letter of each syllable corresponding with its pinyin. For example, the wanted poster for Kafka writes "KFK", which stands for Kǎfúkǎ (Chinese: 卡芙卡), her Chinese name.

Hanzi-Based Script

Hanzi-Based Script (unofficial name) is another writing system found on the Xianzhou Luofu. It is based on traditional Chinese characters and the seal script. Unlike Xianzhou Script, it corresponds with Hanzi rather than the Latin alphabet. There are many advertisements written in Xianzhou Script with Hanzi-Based Script versions.

Penacony Script (unofficial name) is the writing system found on Penacony. The script is based on Universal Script with few alterations.

Amphoreus Script (unofficial name) is the writing system found on Amphoreus. The script is based on Universal Script with some alterations.

Latin Script

While the real-world Latin script is widely visible to the players in multiple language versions of Honkai: Star Rail, its in-universe usage is very limited.

• Some characters in Penacony Script appear to be slightly modified versions of letters from the Arnold Böcklin typeface, one of the most famous fonts within the Art Nouveau movement.
