Castorice is a playable character in Honkai: Star Rail.

The land that reveres death, Aidonia, where snow falls endlessly, has today drifted into a sweet slumber. Castorice, daughter of the River of Souls, Chrysos Heir in search of "Death" Coreflame, sets forth. You must guard the lament of souls and embrace the solitude of destiny.

This effect can stack up to 3 time(s), lasting for 3 turn(s).
When Netherwing is on the field, "Newbud" cannot be gained through Talent, and every 1 point of HP lost by all allies (except Netherwing) will be converted to an equal amount of HP for Netherwing.

During "Netherveil," active attacks will cause all enemies within range to enter combat. At the same time, summons the memosprite Netherwing, advances its action by 100%, and deploys the Territory "Lost Netherland." Netherwing has its current HP equal to 50% of max "Newbud." After entering battle, consumes 40% of the current HP of all allies (except Netherwing).

Launching "Breath Scorches the Shadow" will consume 25% of Netherwing's Max HP to deal Quantum DMG equal to 12%—26.4% of Castorice's Max HP to all enemies.
In one attack, "Breath Scorches the Shadow" can be launched repeatedly, with the DMG multiplier increased progressively to 14%—30.8% / 17%—37.4%. After reaching 17%—37.4%, it will not increase further. The DMG Multiplier Boost effect will not decrease before Netherwing disappears.
When Netherwing's current HP is equal to or less than 25% of its Max HP, launching this ability will actively reduce HP down to 1, and then trigger the ability effect equal to that of the Talent "Wings Sweep the Ruins."

  • This ability's DMG is dealt in 10 hits. The DMG distribution across hits is 10% × 10.
  • Breath Scorches the Shadow can be used consecutively by holding the button on screen (E on PC, Y Button on Xbox, and Triangle Button on PlayStation).
  • Netherwing's turn will not end until "Claw Splits the Veil" is used, "Wings Sweep the Ruins" is triggered, or if all enemies present on the field are killed by this Skill.
    • When Netherwing's current HP is equal to or less than 25% of its Max HP, it will enter the "Back to the Black" state.
    • In the third turn of Netherwing after it's summoned, it can only launch "Breath Scorches the Shadow" repeatedly until "Wings Sweep the Ruins" is triggered. This is forced even if all enemies present have no health left.
    • "Breath Scorches the Shadow" does not count as an attack for effects such as "War Armor" on Titankin enemies.
    • If the first breath has not been launched, casting an Ultimate during "Breath Scorches the Shadow" will interrupt this Memosprite Skill and the Ultimate will be performed.
    • If the first breath has been launched, casting Ultimates during "Breath Scorches the Shadow" will add them to the end of the Ultimate/Extra Turn queue, delaying them.
  • Castorice's second Bonus Ability, Inverted Torch, increases Netherwing's SPD by 100% for 1 turn when "Breath Scorches the Shadow" deals fatal damage to all enemies on the field or brings them to a point where they cannot lose more HP.
  • Castorice's third Bonus Ability, Where The West Wind Dwells, increases Netherwing's DMG dealt by 30% each time it uses "Breath Scorches the Shadow," stacking up to 6 times and lasting until the end of this turn.
  • Castorice's second Eidolon, Crown on Wings of Bloom, grants her 2 stacks of "Ardent Will" after summoning Netherwing, which can be used to offset Netherwing's HP consumption when using "Breath Scorches the Shadow."
