Profile
Veles is the sworn enemy of Perun and previously also the god of war. He takes a half-human and half-snake form, with horns of bulls on his head, a thick coat of fur, and a long beard. He herds cattle in the Land of Death while controlling wealth, rewards, music, and the night. He is an expert in magic and trickery. He is mischievous, and usually steals Perun's wife, cattle, and children, notably stealing Jarilo and raising him.[1]
When Jarilo and Morana married, he and Perun had a temporary peace.[1]
The rivalry between Veles and Perun is the representation of the wars between the Perun States and the Veles Union Army.[2]
