Xuanquan

Xuanquan (Chinese: 玄全) is one of the seven Arbiter-Generals of the Xianzhou Alliance. Described as "mighty and powerful," she presides over the Xianzhou Fanghu.^[3]

She is also an Emanator of The Hunt.^[1][2]

Profile

Jing Yuan has said that Xuanquan has a hatred for evil, and was certain that she would make a just decision regarding the punishment of Preceptor Taoran. Lingsha was confident that Xuanquan would earn the respect and assent of all the Vidyadhara on the Xianzhou Luofu.^[4] She is often compared to Feixiao, indicating she may be a more martial General as her description of being mighty and powerful suggests.^[5]

Etymology

• Xuanquan's name 玄全 means "mysterious" and "whole" in Chinese.
• The title Seiche Queller (伏波将军 Fúbō Jiāngjūn) may refer to General Fubo (Chinese: 伏波将军 Fúbō Jiāngjūn, "General who Calms the Waves"). General Fubo is a general title in the Han Dynasty, and was first established by Emperor Wu during the Han conquest of Nanyue.
• A seiche is a standing wave in an enclosed or partially enclosed body of water. Seiches and seiche-related phenomena have been observed on lakes, reservoirs, swimming pools, bays, harbors, caves and seas. The key requirement for formation of a seiche is that the body of water be at least partially bounded, allowing the formation of the standing wave.
