"'The Merlin's Claw' is what's written in the books, and 'The Great General' is what people call me. The former sounds too formal, the latter too exaggerated. Neither suits me. I prefer my own title, the 'Lacking General' — lacking in worries, regrets, and rivals."^[1]

Feixiao (Chinese: 飞霄), previously called Saran,^[3] is a playable character in Honkai: Star Rail.

A former war slave of the borisin, Feixiao is now the Merlin's Claw of the Xianzhou Yaoqing and one of the Seven Arbiter-Generals. Her personality is unrestrained and frank, dashing and straightforward. She is skilled in all forms of martial arts and has honed herself into a supreme weapon. She is widely adored by Xianzhou soldiers and civilians alike as "The Great General."

However, she bears the burden of the Moon Rage affliction. If she were to hunt down all the abominations in her limited lifetime — Then the only enemy Feixiao has would be herself.^[1] She is also an Emanator of The Hunt.^[5]^[6]

Deals Wind DMG to a single target enemy, up to 402%—759.6% of Feixiao's ATK. During this time, can ignore Weakness Type to reduce the target's Toughness. When the target is not Weakness Broken, Feixiao's Weakness Break Efficiency increases by 100%.
During the attack, Feixiao first launches "Boltsunder Blitz" or "Waraxe Skyward" on the target, for a total of 6 time(s).
At the end, deals Wind DMG equal to 96%—172.8% of Feixiao's ATK to the target.

Using Terrasplit requires Feixiao to accumulate a minimum of six "Flying Aureus" points, rather than requiring energy. These points are accumulated for every two attacks made by Feixiao's allies, including follow-up attacks (or one follow-up attack with the second Eidolon, Moonward I Wish). The ultimate does not count towards the point accumulation.
- If Feixiao's Ultimate is activated through other effects such as Brain in a Vat in Simulated Universe and Ruinous Embers in Apocalyptic Shadow, her Flying Aureus points will increase to 12, allowing her to use two Ultimates in a row.
After the Ultimate is cast and before launching the finishing hit, Feixiao can perform either Boltsunder Blitz or Waraxe Skyward on the enemy for a total of six times; Boltsunder Blitz is more effective against Weakness Broken enemies and Waraxe Skyward more effective against unbroken enemies. The game will highlight which one of the two is more effective against the attacked target.
- During this step, the Action Order and Character Details menu button are hidden and therefore prevents the player from viewing details of units in the battlefield.
- During this step, heads-up display of Feixiao's allies and the Special Ability icon (such as Path Resonances and abilities exclusive to certain boss fights) are hidden, preventing the player from queuing ally Ultimates and Special Abilities.
Feixiao's second Bonus Ability, Formshift, causes the damage from this Ultimate to be considered as follow-up DMG. As the ability also increases follow-up Crit DMG by 36%, it further increases the damage dealt by this Ultimate.
Feixiao's first Eidolon, Skyward I Quell, using either Boltsunder Blitz or Waraxe Skyward will increase the Ultimate DMG inflicted by 10% of the original DMG, stacking up to 5 times and is used at the end of this Ultimate.
Feixiao's sixth Eidolon, Homeward I Near, causes the Ultimate DMG to apply a 20% All-Type RES PEN.

Can activate Ultimate when "Flying Aureus" reaches 6 points, accumulating up to 12 points. Feixiao gains 1 point of "Flying Aureus" for every 2 attacks by ally targets. Feixiao's Ultimate attacks do not count towards this number.
After Feixiao's teammates attack an Enemy target, Feixiao immediately launches Follow-up ATK against the primary target, dealing Wind DMG equal to 55%—121% of Feixiao's ATK. If there is no primary target available to attack, Feixiao attacks a single random enemy instead. This effect can only trigger once per turn and the trigger count resets at the start of Feixiao's turn. When using this attack, increases DMG dealt by this unit by 30%—66%, lasting for 2 turn(s).

"Flying Aureus" stacks and half-stacks are displayed below her portrait.
Even after attaining twelve stacks of "Flying Aureus," up to two additional half-stacks can be retained, effectively allowing Feixiao to have an extra "Flying Aureus" stack.
If Feixiao receives an effect that activates her Ultimate, such as Erudition's Path Trait "Brain in a Vat," her "Flying Aureus" stacks will be set to 12.
Feixiao's first Bonus Ability, Heavenpath, grants her three stacks of "Flying Aureus" upon entering battle. At the start of a turn, if no follow-up attack was launched via Talent in the previous turn, then this counts as 1 toward the number of attacks required to gain "Flying Aureus."
Feixiao's second Eidolon, Moonward I Wish, grants Feixiao a stack of "Flying Aureus" each time an ally launches a follow-up attack. This can be triggered six times per turn.
Feixiao's fourth Eidolon, Stormward I Hear, causes the follow-up from this Talent to deal 100% additional Toughness DMG, and further increases her SPD by 8% for two turns.
Feixiao's sixth Eidolon, Homeward I Near, causes the DMG dealt from her Talent to be considered Ultimate DMG, and its DMG multiplier increases by 140%. Because the Eidolon increases the All-Type RES Pen of Ultimate DMG by 20% (of which the Talent is now considered as), the Talent's DMG is significantly increased.

While in "Onrush," actively attacking will start battle with all pulled enemies. After entering battle, deals Wind DMG equal to 200% of Feixiao's ATK to all enemies at the start of each wave. This DMG is guaranteed to CRIT. If more than 1 enemy is pulled in, increases the multiplier of this DMG by 100% for each additional enemy pulled in, up to a maximum of 1000%.

After using this Technique, Feixiao will automatically enter the Sprint mode.
At the start of Wave 2 and subsequent waves onward during a multi-wave battle, this Technique can ignore Weakness Type and deal 10 Toughness Reduction to all enemies. It is unknown if this is a bug.
