Feathered Fate

Last updated 2026-08-04

An ancient folk song. Some claim it's been sung since the founding of Eridu, though no historical records support that claim.

Feathered Fate is an S-Rank, A-Rank or B-Rank Drive Disc series.

Descriptions

Partition One

Little bird, little bird, where are you flying to?
The little bird just shakes its head with a smile.
I don't know.
I just want to go somewhere far away.

Partition Two

The little bird flies over mountains and rivers,
finding a quiet garden in full bloom.
Countless daisies smile up at her,
and the little bird falls in love with the sunshine, the morning dew, and the gentle fragrance.

Partition Three

But the garden is never truly at peace.
A sleeping bear lies within, and gray wolves prowl its edges.
The daisies sway gently,
begging the little bird to take flight once more.

Partition Four

The little bird gladly agrees, though she still doesn't know where to fly.
To the ends of the world, to the homeland of the bears and wolves!
The daisies sing in unison:
It's a land of peace, an ocean free of all sorrow.

Partition Five

The little bird flies through countless springs and countless winters.
She befriends migrating birds, and together they soar through the skies.
But over the course of the long journey, these companions drift away one by one, losing their way.
The little bird keeps flying, alone, toward places even farther away.

Partition Six

But there is no ocean at the world's end, only a blazing sun.
Fierce winds snap the little bird's wings, and the scorching sun burns away every feather.
The little bird falls from the heavens. As her consciousness begins to fade, she seems to catch the scent once more...
Of those daisies she once saw, at the very beginning of her journey.
