Jia'ao (Chinese: 加奥 Jia'ao) is an NPC who can be found in Failume Heights.

Jia'ao is a New Eridu Public Security officer who is stationed in Waifei Peninsula. It is implied thorough his dialogue that he and Officer Mewmew were close friends, and he even looks up to Mewmew's hard-working nature.

(Interaction with Masheng): Jia'ao: Yo, I've had my eye on you for a while. What's the deal here?; (Whoa, things are getting heated?); Masheng: Just taking a stroll~ What's up, officer? Can't a guy walk around?; Jia'ao: In the Hollow? Sneaking around like that? And you've got the nerve to talk back to me?; Masheng: Oh? Is being cocky against the law? Show me which law says you can't have swag!

(Interaction with Citizen): Jia'ao: Hey! What are you sneaking around here for?; Citizen: I—I heard you can see Porcelume firsthand here... wait, is "firsthand" the right word to use?; Citizen: What I mean is, I'd love to see how Porcelume is processed and manufactured. I'm really interested in that stuff.; Citizen: Please don't take me for some weirdo, sir!

(Interaction with Child at the lower cable car station, 6PM): Jia'ao: Hey! You keep running like that, kid, and you'll fall into a Hollow and get eaten by an Ethereal! Where are your folks? (Interaction with Public Security Officer Xiaowen, 6AM): Jia'ao: Hey, Xiaowen, you transferred here from the Lumina Branch, right?; Public Security Officer Xiaowen: Yeah, Senior Jia'ao, that's right!; Jia'ao: Oh, then you must know Mewmew, right? How's he been doing lately?; Public Security Officer Xiaowen: To be honest, I haven't seen him in a while.; Jia'ao: Ah... I see... Don't go getting yourself into trouble, old buddy...

(Interaction with Porcelume Vendor behind Tin Master's Coffee, 12PM-6PM): Jia'ao: Hey, let me see your business license for a sec.; Porcelume Vendor: Oh, my license?
