Pompey is an NPC. He was the previous Overlord of the Outer Ring Motor League first seen during the Tracking Operation act of Chapter 4: Tour de Inferno (B) in Phaethon's Story.

Profile

Pompey was the leader of The Vanquishers biker gang, and the previous Overlord of the Outer Ring Motor League for numerous years. He was shown to be a just leader and overlord, sending food and medical supplies to Blazewood.

During the most recent Tour de Inferno, he was betrayed by Lucius, who left him to become an Ethereal at Cinder Lake. He died during a fight with Caesar King and the Sons of Calydon by falling into the lake after a last resort attack.

Etymology

• Pompey's name likely derives from the Roman general and statesman Pompey, who had a sizeable role in converting Rome from a republic to an empire. He was first an ally and then an enemy of Julius Caesar, with whom he fought for the control of Rome, until he ran away to Ptolemaic Egypt, only to get treacherously assassinated by his former colleague Lucius Septimius, the same way Pompey got betrayed by Lucius.
• Armageddon, the word at the back of Pompey's jacket, is the prophesied gathering of armies for a battle during the end of the world, according to the Book of Revelation in the New Testament of the Christian Bible.
