The Cryo Dragon was one of the Seven Sovereigns.

Story

The Cryo Dragon was one of the Seven Sovereigns, dragon-lords who ruled over Teyvat before the Heavenly Principles's arrival. Alongside the other sovereigns, it went to war against Celestia and was eventually defeated.^[1]

After the Cryo Sovereign's death, its corpse was used by the people of Hyperborea in an attempt to create a Primordial Human, for the purpose of creating a being with an authority equal to Nibelung. However, its corpse and unchecked authority afflicted Snezhnaya with a variation of the Holy Soil phenomenon that covered the land in primordial ice and turned the area's ley lines into veins of pure crystal. The project spun out of control, and Hyperborea was later struck by a Celestial Nail and plunged into the Shadow Realm. However, even though the experiment was never brought to its conclusion, it did succeed in creating a lifeform, for the Belyi Tsar emerged a millennium later from the remains of the Cryo Dragon.^[2][3]
