The children...
- "If the kids come over again today, I think I'll give them these toys..."
Dialogue
- Lestocq: If the children come today as well, I suppose I'll give them these here toys...
And these here are...
- Lestocq: Oh, hello there. These are some abandoned machines that my daughter Alida picked up. She likes to do that, bringing back all kinds of odds and ends from her outdoor play sessions.
- Lestocq: Some of them even move with a wee fix-em-up. Since the kids nearby are fond of 'em, I don't see the harm in giving them out. Alida's friends are especially big fans...
Are you a craftsman of a sort, then?
- Lestocq: Haha, I don't suppose I count. Just a barely-competent grease monkey, that's all.
- Lestocq: Before coming here, I worked in the Fontaine Research Institute, and so I've rented this shop with Miss Cairuo. I just help people fix some simple mechanisms, and enjoy the company of my daughter. We get by.
- Lestocq: If the problem's too complicated, or if some core parts are busted up, then our clients will have to find help somewhere else.
- (Available if Nefer is in the party)
(Nefer looks like she has something to say...)
- Nefer: Might you have any special gadgets in stock?
- Lestocq: A special mechanism, you say? Well, that depends on what you need, Lady Nefer. Our shop has plenty of fine goods to choose from — it all depends on what you're willing to offer.
- Nefer: It's about Jahoda's arm. I've heard that some of the spare parts have become available in Fontaine, so I came to ask if you might know anything about it.
- Lestocq: That might take some time to track down. If the spare parts happen to fall into the river, at least we have some reliable friends who could help retrieve them. But if they're scattered just anywhere...
- Nefer: Then I'll be counting on you, Mr. Lestocq. Come to think of it, I just had someone purchase some Fonta the other day. I'll send you a few later as thanks.
- Lestocq: Much obliged, Lady Nefer. If we do manage to find the parts, I'll have them delivered to you straight away, rest assured.
- Nefer: Oh, by the way — when Miss Jahoda was last here, she seemed rather interested in this toy. Now, I might've just imagined it... but would you mind bringing it to her as well?
- (Available if Jahoda is in the party)
(Jahoda looks like she has something to say...)
- Jahoda: Might you have any special gadgets in stock?
- Lestocq: Oh, are you interested in gadgets too, Miss Jahoda? Hehe, I'm not going to try and fix your arm. At least, not here...
- Jahoda: Tch, I don't need you to fix my arm. I'm just here to ask some questions on Boss Nef's behalf. The Fontas you ordered from us have arrived. May I assume that you have your payment ready?
- Lestocq: Oh, the shipment's here? That's fast. The Curatorium of Secrets is certainly reliable as always. The payment has of course been prepared long ago — falling behind has never been our habit.
- Lestocq: However, please kindly let Lady Nefer know she must come collect it at her earliest convenience. If the ice used for cooling melts, the Fontas may lose their flavor.
- Jahoda: Tch, don't worry, they will be delivered on time. Just don't forget the payment, Mr. Lestocq. I'll go report back now.
Do you have any special mechanisms?
- Lestocq: Special mechanisms? Hahaha, that's a good one. Does it look like I'm in the business of making fancy contraptions?
- Lestocq: Sure, I might once have worked at the Fontaine Research Institute, but that was a lifetime ago. Now it's all I can do to mend these little trinkets and make a few toys for the children.
- Lestocq: Have you visited the Institute, by the by? The Fonta they make is the bomb, but it always seems to sell out right after lunchtime...
Fonta? It's usually on sale around the clock...- Lestocq: ...
- Lestocq: Oho, yes, yes, my memory must be playing up — how could Fonta ever sell out?
- Lestocq: Anyway, if there's nothing else, I've got some toys to make. Feel free to take a look around.
See you.
- Lestocq: See you. Keep your eyes and ears open.
