Event Dialogue
Whirling Waltz
Available after hiring Marine.
- Marine: Hey there, Boss, look how hard I'm working! Could you see your way to upping my pay? That way, I can buy more gifts for Aeval.
Aeval?
- Marine: Yeah, she's the guide on the Clementine Line aquabus. We used to be colleagues.
- Marine: For some reason, they transferred her away. Before she left, she would help me with all sorts of stuff — I've been looking for a way to thank her ever since.
- Marine: But there's me, working away, and I never seem to have the time. It's only recently that I've finally gotten the chance for some recreation.
- Marine: I originally asked Aeval to come with me, but she turned me down. She said something about "There's a big event going on, which means there'll be a lot of passengers to take care of"...
- Marine: So I plan to get her some gifts instead!
Why not Elphane?
- Marine: Elphane? So you're familiar with the "Scarlet Specter"?
- Marine: To be perfectly honest, I've never been her biggest fan. She used to take all the most prestigious jobs for herself — it made me look like I wasn't pulling my weight.
- Marine: Shooting, fighting... Ahem... I mean, she's got almost perfect grades in all the main professional skills.
- Marine: A talent like that, every time a holiday rolls around, she's sure to receive a deluge of gifts. She certainly doesn't need any more from me...
Keep up the hard work!
- Marine: Don't worry, I will! I'll approach this with the same vigor as though I was preparing for battle... Ahem, I mean, preparing for peaceful maritime labor!
Fearsome Ferocious Firepower
Dialogue Set #1
Available after completing The Cannon Has Ears and before completing Pre-Packaged Solution.
- Marine: Hey-ho, Boss, Proto-Boss, how's the situation? If the monsters have all been dealt with, I'll get back to my business!
I think there's still some left...
- Marine: Alright then, I guess I'll stay here on standby.
- Marine: If you get tired, let me know. I can always hop back on the cannon while you take a rest.
- Marine: I could shoot those monsters all day.
Are you not going to talk to the other two?
- Marine: Huh? I've already talked to them at length.
- Marine: Miss Chenee gave me a very valuable dessert — a type of cake I've never tried before. By human standards, I think it should be considered delicious.
- Marine: My tastes have already been "tamed" by my colleagues, so I found it quite enjoyable too.
- Marine: Chenee must come from a rich family, while Frejus comes from humbler origins. She's always giving him desserts like that — she must spend eight or nine thousand Mora a day on them.
They told you all this?- Marine: Guesswork. You can tell a lot by the way people walk, their facial expressions, and the words they use.
- Marine: The first time I took a rest alongside them, I felt like I wasn't supposed to be there. Not that they resented my presence, but something about the atmosphere didn't feel quite right...
- Marine: So, I've decided not to disturb them. Besides, standing guard quietly over here suits me just fine — I used to do a lot of reconnaissance and sentry duty when I was in the force.
You have other business to attend to?
- Marine: Yes, I was only in the area by chance after taking a mission from Edl— another agent.
- Marine: Lately, a group of white-collar crooks has been spotted around here.
- Marine: And it just so happens that there are quite a few houses up for rent in the area, so I thought I'd come and look for clues.
- Marine: But I have to admit, investigating financial crimes isn't anywhere near as exciting as blasting monsters to bits.
- Marine: If you ever need anyone to help you pummel some monsters, I'll be up for it. Obviously, it would be best if meals were included, but if they're not, I can always bring my own.
I'll get back to dealing with the monsters.
- Marine: Lots of work left to do, I see. That's great. If you find yourself getting tired, let me know, and I can take care of the cannon blasting for you.
Dialogue Set #2
Available after completing Pre-Packaged Solution.
- Marine: I was just wondering... Do you have any more interesting food ideas? You really piqued my interest with that "Fonta-Fermented Tidalga."
- Paimon: Huh? So you're a fan of mystery-box fine dining, too?
- Paimon: How about... "Apple Cider Tidalga", or "Coffee Tidalga," or... or... "Jueyun Chili Tidalga"? As long as it isn't poisonous, you could try pretty much anything!
