About Svetloledovka...
- Nekrasov: As you can see, this is just a remote little town that makes its living from ice mining.
- Nekrasov: If you're looking to earn some extra Mora with odd jobs, you can speak with Supervisor Sobolev. But if you're thinking of taking up ice mining long-term, you'll probably need to ask Pashkov first.
- About Sobolev...
- Nekrasov: Him? Well, to be honest, his duties cover all sorts of things. You can just think of him as the "General Manager" in charge of us workers.
- Nekrasov: After all, everything from paying wages to fixing equipment has to go through him. That means he's always short-handed, and he often needs people to help out with odd jobs.
- About wages...
- Nekrasov: I don't know what odd jobs pay. You'll have to ask Sobolev yourself about that. As for ice miners, we're paid by the piece here. Once you meet your quota, the more you do, the more you earn.
- Nekrasov: Night shifts also come with extra pay. That said, the ice pits are frighteningly cold at night... Unless you're really short on money, I generally wouldn't recommend it.
- Equipment repairs?
- Nekrasov: That would be the huge ice-mining machine in town. I heard it was brought in from the Energy Commission. No idea what's wrong with it, but it breaks down all the time.
- Nekrasov: We rough fellows can't make heads or tails of complicated machines, so the whole mess of managing that hunk of metal ended up falling on Sobolev.
- Nekrasov: And, because of that machine, some rumors have started going around town. A while back, it even drew in a reporter, saying they wanted to investigate some kind of corruption...
- Nekrasov: Ah! I'm not saying I believe those rumors! No, no, what I mean is, there shouldn't be any rumors like that in the first place!
- About Pashkov...
- Nekrasov: He's our new safety officer. According to the rules, any prospective ice miner must pass the Safety Code exam before getting permission to enter the worksite.
- Nekrasov: Oh, and don't say I didn't warn you. This new safety officer is stubborn as a mule. Reasoning won't work on him, and neither will pressure. For all I know, he might be cracked in the head, so whatever you do, don't provoke him.
- Nekrasov: I really don't get it. Why would he give up a nice, comfortable life at the troupe just to come suffer in a backwater like this...?
- About what's happening up on the snowy mountain...
- Nekrasov: Ah, you mean the rumors? You must be asking about the mansion up on the mountain. But it's not a rumor... it's actually out there.
- Nekrasov: It belongs to Pavlina, the Snegurochka princess of the Snegoviks.... Though she rarely ventures out, she does occasionally invite humans to the manor as her guests.
- Nekrasov: Mind you... word is that none of those guests ever make it back down.
