• Some Fatui Harbinger lines suggest the Shivada Jade quote represents the Tsaritsa and Fatui's goals.
  • Tartaglia's voice-over about the Tsaritsa claims that "she declared war against the whole world only because she dreams of peace."^[1]
  • Pierro promised to the deceased Signora that "[her] final resting place will be the entirety of the 'Old World'..."^[2]
  • Capitano declares to Mavuika his plan to create new "rules" for Natlan and that "before the dawn of a new age the old must be destroyed."^[3]

Etymology

• The English name for this item derives "Shivada" from Shiva, a primary Hindu deity known as the God of Destruction, and has paradoxical traits of both benevolence and malevolence.
• In the Chinese version, "Shivada" is instead 哀叙冰/哀敘冰 Āixù Bīng, "Grieving/Lamenting Ice," lit. "Grief-Narrating Ice."
