Version 0.9.9 of Genshin Impact, Closed Beta Test 3, was released on June 11, 2020.

Closed Beta Test 3 (CBT3 or Final Beta Test) was the final of three beta versions of Genshin Impact during its development. It was a limited-access beta at the end of which all user data were deleted. The platforms supported were PC, iOS, Android, and the PlayStation®4 system.

The Chinese version of the beta lasted for 42 days, from June 11, 2020 (10:00), to July 23, 2020 (21:00).^[1][2]

The international version of the beta also lasted for about a month, from July 2, 2020, to July 27, 2020.^[3][4]

Monetization

The Chinese version of CBT3 introduced content related to the Monetization of characters. All microtransactions conducted in the beta test server were later refunded in the full release and could be claimed from the mail system from September 28, 2020 to September 27, 2021.^[5]

  • Rebate scheme: the first 36000 Genesis Crystals were rebated at 1.5x, with 1.25x for the rest.
• Blessing of the Welkin Moon
  • Rebate scheme: all subscriptions during the beta test was rebated with the same length in the full release, in the form of the Blessing of the Welkin Moon - New Moon inventory item, with 2 extra subscriptions provided for free.
• Battle Pass
  • Rebate scheme: the subscription during the beta test was rebated in the full release, with 680 Genesis Crystals provided for free.

• New Benediction of the Abyss combat bonus system
• New Ley Line Outcrop resource system, replacing the Resource Domains from the previous tests
• Added a Match function to Domains
• Added the Friend system
