(First interaction): Aulus: Free meat n' wheat porridge, one for everyone, come get yours!; Aulus: Ooh, you look rather young, warrior. I suppose you're here to join the King's Trial?; Aulus: You have to fill up your belly before stepping into the trial ground. Come, eat this and warm yourself up.; The old man hands you a bowl of mush with a thin slice of barbecued pork set over it.; You finish the porridge. It doesn't taste great. The oil's too heavy, but it's filling — perfect for a soldier engaged in heavy labor, when you think about it.; Aulus: How was it, ya feel your strength surging from your soles to your head? This is Old Aulus' special recipe, guaranteed to power you through the day with just one hearty meal.; Aulus: When the festival ends, I'll be hosting a huge feast. If you can stay around till then, don't forget to come by.

What does a food provisions officer do?

Aulus: Haha... As the name suggests, it's managing and stocking up on military supplies, of course. But it's no easy feat.

Aulus: There was once a sage who said this: "The grain moves before the army does." You can't afford any mistakes in war. The slightest misstep will cause a crushing defeat.

Aulus: The most important thing about supplies is that it replenishes energy. I've tried many ways, but nothing works better than increasing the quantity of meat within, especially adding large pieces of meat. The problem is where to get this meat.

Aulus: Dromases are an essential labor force, and we can't slaughter them needlessly. So I've got my sights on cloudsheep and hornswine — the troops say the former tastes better, and want me to use it more, but hornswines yield more meat.

Aulus: I mean, soldiers aren't customers ordering food at a diner, so I can't always cater to them, can I?

Interesting stories of a food provisions officer?

Aulus: Interesting stories? I must talk about the war on Okhema last time, when the Kremnoan army ran into a food shortage.

Aulus: We walked right into an enemy trap while pursuing their troops, and our supply line got cut off. After finishing all the food we had left, everyone just stared at me, certain that I had some way to get my hands on some food.

Aulus: I wasn't too confident, but I wasn't about to demoralize them. So I wandered around to see if I could think of anything. Who'd thought, I somehow ended up nearby the Okhema camp — I probably didn't look like a soldier to them.

Aulus: Before I left, I hauled three hornswine by the reins out of their camp. That night at the all-meat buffet was the most fulfilling meal of my life. I fed a whole bunch of people, and saved them too.

Aulus: As for the poor Okhemans, they've got a rich production line. A few hornswines mean nothing to them. I even left an IOU.

Aulus: Good. You need to, or your body won't last.

Aulus: Since we're meeting here, I take it that the great battle is already over?

Georgious: Well, that was unexpected. I thought it would take way longer.

Empousa: *hic* Talanton is so unfair, and Oronyx is even more biased. Fate threw us into the midst of strife, yet denied us the chance to join that final battle.

Empousa: I wish I could've seen that— *hic* —winning moment with my own eyes!

The special effects are maxed out, and the spectacle is absolutely mind-blowing.

Everyone was fighting back and forth. It was total chaos.

Aulus: Haha, at least we did our duty. Time to treat ourselves to a celebration feast!

Aulus: I've heard about all the amazing food outside Castrum Kremnos from others. There's such a mouthwatering variety. I'm practically drooling just thinking about it!

Aulus: Listen up, warriors! Our victory feast lacks one final ingredient. Who dares to follow in the Kremnoan king's footsteps and slay the overlord of the Sea of Souls? Let's turn those ship-crushing tentacles into tonight's delicacy!

Erinys: Time for me to step up! There's no battle to rush to, no glory to defend, and nowhere to show off the skills I've honed since childhood. I'm getting pretty bored here.

Herklas: Heh, you? You don't even have the strength to arm wrestle with it. Better train for a few more years. The merit of conquering it will be mine alone.

Erinys: Don't fight me over this, buddy!

Herklas: We Kremnoans don't settle things with mere words, priest!

Erinys: Perfect! Then let's see what you've got—

Georgious: *sigh* ...I really don't get it. It's just a job. Why are people fighting over something that could cost them their lives?

Aulus: *Ahem* One more word out of either of you, and neither of you will be allowed at the table!
