  • Mydei's immortality from the River of Souls, as well as the Achievement Akivili's Tendon! are both references to the Greek story of Achilles, who received partial immortality from being bathed in a river in the underworld, commonly depicted as Styx.
  • The Achievement Ferry Horse of the River of Souls and the Divergent Universe Equation Passenger of River of Souls both mention a ferryman for the River of Souls, a clear reference to Charon, the ferryman of the dead aboard either the river Styx or Acheron.
