Boss Polwave is a mission-exclusive NPC on Planarcadia.

Profile

Polwave was the leader of the Synwish Syndicate in Dovebrook District, aiming to reform it into a foundation supporting imagenae lacking Wishpower. He attempted to recruit Blade during the Phantasmoon Games but was intercepted by Xianzhou Alliance delegates. Later, he was killed alongside his subordinates by members of the Daybreak Squadron.

History

At some point in the past, Ryusuke confronted a group of gangsters in order to protect his students. This incident caught the attention of a young Polwave, who personally visited Graphia Academy to apologize on behalf of his subordinates. During this encounter, Polwave also expressed interest in commissioning a painting from Ryusuke for the Syndicate's boss. Ryusuke, however, refused outright, stating that the Syndicate was "not yet worthy." The exchange escalated into a heated yet amicable confrontation, with both men sharing laughter despite nearly coming to blows.^[3]

Polwave was the boss of the infamous Synwish Syndicate of Dovebrook District. Despite being a mafia leader, he sought to transform the organization into the Synwish Strangeling Pension Foundation, an institution dedicated to upholding Synwish Syndicate's original mission: providing support for imagenae who were overlooked, lacked Wishpower, and were deemed unnecessary by humanity.

To achieve this goal, he intended to hire "Xianzhou's Number One Assassin," Blade, to assist the Synwish Syndicate during the Phantasmoon Games of Arcadian Calendar 1999. However, delegates of the Xianzhou Alliance, Yao Guang and Tingyun, intervened and instead made contact with Caustide, Polwave's right-hand man.

Tingyun introduced herself under the same title, claiming to be "Xianzhou's Number One Assassin." Caustide subsequently brought her to Synwish Tower, where he attempted to test her strength. Before the test could conclude, Polwave intervened and escorted Tingyun, along with Sunday and Dan Heng, to his office. There, Tingyun successfully retrieved the Mask of Elation from Polwave, who had acquired it through unknown means, and handed it over to Yao Guang.^[2]

Later, Polwave, along with Caustide, Skott, and thirty-one other members of the Synwish Syndicate,^[4][5] was murdered by members of the Daybreak Squadron: Blazeweaver, Azurewing, and Dawnlance.^[1]
