Xenohydro

Last updated 2025-11-24

The Xenohydro is a mission-exclusive NPC on Herta Space Station present during Adventure Mission Ever-Changing and Adventure Mission Spirit Traces.

Profile

The Xenohydro is a sentient biological Curio in Herta's possession. It has the ability to replicate the appearance of other people at will, although even when transformed, it can be identified by dilated pupils, increased perspiration, cold temperature, and a distinctive watery sound in its voice.

During Adventure Mission Ever-Changing and Adventure Mission Spirit Traces, the Xenohydro takes the forms of Wen Mingde and the Trailblazer respectively. In combat against the Trailblazer, it takes the form of an Ice Out of Space.

History

During Adventure Mission Ever-Changing, the Xenohydro escapes from containment following the Antimatter Legion's attack on Herta Space Station. While Wen Mingde attempts to retrieve all missing Curios on the space station in the wake of the attack, the Xenohydro takes the form of Wen Mingde and instructs Abraham to retrieve a Curio called the "Boxer with Colored Tortoiseshell Pattern" — possibly Wen Mingde's own, although Wen Mingde denies this — which Wen Mingde interprets as an attempt to mock him. The Xenohydro then confronts Wen Mingde directly, forcing the Trailblazer to identify the real one. After inadvertently revealing itself as the impostor, the Xenohydro attacks the Trailblazer and is defeated, but manages to escape.

The Xenohydro later takes on Lamina's form in order to prank Capote, resulting in Capote berating Lamina upon finding out. Lamina, suffering from low self-esteem and desperate to escape from subservience to Capote, secretly decides to aid the Xenohydro in escaping the Space Station. Asta, learning of this, writes a poem intended to convince Lamina to live independently rather than as an accomplice to the Xenohydro or a servant to Capote, and passes it off to the Trailblazer as a tip from an anonymous informant directing them to where they can find the Xenohydro.

Lamina and the Xenohydro set a trap for the investigator — the Trailblazer — with the intention of the Xenohydro replacing the investigator and having the investigator detained as the Xenohydro, although Lamina insists that the Trailblazer be kept alive. The Trailblazer is lured into the trap, but defeats the Xenohydro once again.

The Trailblazer may choose to either have the Xenohydro recaptured, or allow it to be freed, with Lamina assuring them that she will prevent it from causing trouble. If it is freed, it can later be seen observing as Capote is accosted by his angry fans, and gives the Trailblazer a bottle of Kapo-Kali stolen from Capote.
