Deadly Assault

Deadly Assault is a permanent high-risk combat mode in Zenless Zone Zero added in Version 1.4. It features rotating boss challenges that refresh every two weeks, alternating with Shiyu Defense: Critical Node. Deadly Assault can be accessed after reaching Inter-Knot Level 40 and having unlocked Shiyu Defense.

Introduction

Deadly Assault is a high-risk enemy simulation training system provided by the HIA, designed specifically for Hollow Zero. It uses real-time data and simulation technology from various high-activity hostile entities within the great Hollows.

Trial Mode

[High-Risk Enemy Challenge]
Deadly Assault is designed to simulate high-Ether activity combat scenarios, focusing on highly dangerous hostile entities. Each session of Deadly Assault features three high-risk entities, with their weaknesses and resistances revealed in the challenge details. Enemies grow stronger as their health decreases. Deploy Agents strategically based on the enemy's combat information.

[Lineup Lock and Reset]
During one session of Deadly Assault, the Agents and Bangboo used cannot be repeated. Once a challenge is completed, the squad Lineup is locked. To change your Lineup, use the reset feature after the Lineup is locked. Resetting will clear previously obtained battle scores but retain the highest total star record and rewards earned.

[Selectable Buff Effects]
To accommodate diverse combat scenarios, you can select specific buffs for your squad when challenging enemies. Choose the buffs that best complement your Lineup for an advantage in battle.

Adversity Mode

[Unlock Conditions]
Obtain 9 stars in this season's Trial Mode to unlock Adversity Mode. Resetting your challenge lineup will not reset your Adversity Mode unlock status.

[Special Purge Directive]
The trekking traveler grips their blade, and the summit-scaling warrior is crowned in glory.
Here, face the most perilous foes and claim the victor's crown!
The Adversity Mode features only 1 High-Risk entity. Intel regarding the enemy's weaknesses and resistances is revealed in the challenge details. As the enemy's HP decreases, their strength will gradually increase. Please deploy your Agents strategically based on the enemy combat intel.

[Best Total Score and Leaderboard]
Your best total score is the highest combat score obtained in the current season's Adversity Mode. Upon obtaining 3 stars, the current season leaderboard will be unlocked. Resetting the lineup won't refresh your best total score or leaderboard placement.

[Exclusive Rewards]
In Adversity Mode, obtaining 2 stars/3 stars will immediately grant time-limited namecard and dynamic avatar rewards after the finalization. The validity period of these time-limited items is equal to the total duration of the current season of Deadly Assault. For example, if the current season of Deadly Assault lasts for 14 days, the obtained dynamic avatar will be valid for 14 days. If the item is obtained while it is still valid, its duration will be extended by 14 days.
