Avena is an open-world NPC located in Sumeru City, Sumeru. During daytime, she can be found talking to Lemta by the Teleport Waypoint in front of Lambad's Tavern.

Avena is a member of the Adventurers' Guild and is implied to come from Fontaine; Lemta, her hired bodyguard, tells Hakan that Avena is foreign to Sumeru,[2] and Avena's own dialogue with Lemta has her state that she "only brought diving equipment" with her, which is a relatively common occupation in Fontaine.
While Avena herself does not appear in the Event Sunny Summer Fontinalia, Lemta is seen by herself in the Wingalet's aquarium and her monologue indicates that she is acquainted with Fontainian adventurer Ophelia,[3] which suggests that the two may have returned to Fontaine at some point before the event began.
