Bragin

Last updated 2026-09-09

Bragin (Russian: Брагин Bragin) is an open-world NPC located in Fellfrost Peak, Snezhnaya. He can be found talking to Fadeev.

Location

Profile

Bragin is a male Volkodlak master of Prime Ice sculpting and at least 500 years old. During the reign of the Belyi Tsar, he was summoned to the Pale Crown Palace to demonstrate his skill, cutting Prime Ice with his bare hands and completing a statue in an instant.[1] Afterwards, Pavlina remarked that his sculptures lacked the "breath that the blizzard speaks into nature."[2]

Inspired by her criticism, he built a training ground where he devoted himself to becoming a more accomplished artist and later took on Churin and Fadeev as apprentices. He teaches the "Path of the Ice Sculpt-Dancer," a method that emphasizes finishing a work in the shortest possible time and focuses on physical conditioning and technique. Consequently, his students have become faster, but not more skilled.[2][3]

While exploring Snezhnaya, the Traveler came upon Bragin's workshop, and the trio were surprised to see visitors since the workshop had been situated in a deserted location. Bragin asked if they were there to learn from him before noticing the Traveler's attire, recognizing that they were a skilled warrior. He subsequently commissioned them to spar with him and his apprentices, which they accepted. The Traveler subsequently bested all three, and Bragin thanked the Traveler for the opportunity, stating that he was now filled with inspiration from the bouts. He then asked the Traveler to drop by the workshop from time to time, stating that Churin was his best fighter and that those fights would do the Domovoy good.

Appearance

Bragin takes on the appearance of a Fanged Zealot.

Dialogue

Fadeev: *sigh* Master, does your method really work, though?
Fadeev: I don't think I've made any progress in Prime Ice sculpting... Sure, I've gotten a lot faster, but that's it.
Bragin: Well, is that not an improvement?
Fadeev: Huh?
Bragin: I was summoned to perform at the Pale Crown Palace back then on account of my speed, you know.
Bragin: I could create a statue in but an instant. What, did you think I'd make His Majesty the Tsar sit there all day waiting for me to finish performing?
Fadeev: I—I see...
