In the "Precision Express Handling" challenge, the Traveler must get the train safely to its destination within the time limit.

While the train has a fixed top speed, you can notch up or down to control how fast the train accelerates, that is, the time and distance needed for the train to reach its top speed.
The higher the gear, the greater the train's power, and the faster it accelerates.
Switching to reverse will initiate braking. At this time, the train will slow to a complete halt.

When traveling uphill or downhill, the forces acting on the train will change. When traveling uphill, train travel becomes harder, and the train may even slow down. At this time, you have to notch up to increase the train's power. Conversely, when traveling downhill, travel becomes easier, and the train will speed up. That can cause you to blow past the posted speed limit of certain sections if you aren't careful!
Your task is to notch up or down according to current conditions to keep the train running safely.

As you switch between gears to control the train's speed, the resulting mechanical friction will also raise the train's drive core temperature. If it gets too hot, the core will go into forced cooldown, and the train will go into neutral. At this time, the train will continue gliding along the tracks as it gradually slows, and you lose a certain amount of points.

There are sections of track where a speed limit — high, low, medium — is posted. Look out for the indicator lights' colors, which will tell you if you are within the limits. Successfully traveling through a speed-restricted zone within the speed limit earns you extra points.

As you arrive at the destination station, you must stop the train smoothly at the marked position. The closer you stop, the more points you earn.

Press the Whistle button when you get close to a whistle sign. Activating the sign earns you extra points.

The train will travel with more difficulty when travelling in a snowstorm zone. At the same time, the driver's cabin windows will ice up and affect your view. To keep driving safely, use the ice cleaning device to remove the ice.
