Herstal is an open-world NPC located at the Knights of Favonius Base, Dornman Port, Windrest Peak, Mondstadt.

Completing all three of her Sharpshooter Showdown Challenges rewards a Common Chest, an Exquisite Chest, and a Precious Chest.

Appearance

Herstal wears one of the standard uniforms of the Knights of Favonius. The uniform consists of a black long-sleeved shirt, tight-fitting pants under a gray skirt and a white plate armor worn on top. Unlike other knights, she does not have her knees covered and only has greaves on her legs. The Knights of Favonius crest decorates her breastplate and she carries a shield on her back. She has a blonde braid down behind her.

Herstal: But Hedwig, who was my bunkmate when I first joined the unit, just won't listen. Every single day, she's out there pushing herself to the limit.

Herstal: Seriously... You've got to pace yourself. Pushing yourself that hard won't do you any good...

What kind of inspiration are we talking about here?

Herstal: Ah, I'm a gunsmith. For me, the inspiration I'm chasing is... the best way to improve musket performance, I guess?

Herstal: Every musket is a whole system. That means that whenever you make a modification, you have to consider its impact on the rest of the system.

Herstal: But if you try to graft something from a new patent onto an existing platform just because, you'll run into far more complications than you've bargained for.

Herstal: The musket recently adopted by the Knights of Favonius is a reliable and cost-effective model that's been tested and proven in numerous battles by Snezhnaya and Fontaine...

Herstal: But we still have some way to go to make it better so that our knights to take on [sic] every enemy safely.

Herstal: And when you've pushed a musket's modifications as far as they can go, it's a sign to rethink the entire design.

Herstal: Coming up with a completely new platform from scratch sounds more promising, don't you think?

But wouldn't that be really costly?

I'm guessing that process would take a long time?

Herstal: Well... Money and time aren't our biggest roadblocks. Our greatest obstacle here is mindset — one that wants the prize without having to go through the process of earning it.

Herstal: I'll write to the Captain, and maybe even the Grand Master, about funding. Then, I'll have to recruit a few more assistants...
