Open-World Dialogue
Lohen and Hannelore
- (Encounter Lohen talking to Hannelore)
- Hannelore: Mr. Lohen, I feel we must talk about the matter of confession...
- Lohen: Hmm? Oh? Have I done something that requires confession? You'll have to forgive me, I can't seem to recall anything.
- Hannelore: Do you remember... Struwell? And the others?
- Lohen: Ah, the three noisy brats. I remember them.
- Hannelore: A few days ago, they came to me in floods of tears, practically begging to confess to some pranks.
- Lohen: Oh? Interesting. What did they do?
- Hannelore: ...Sneak into Granny Marthe's house with the grand plan of smearing cream onto her face.
- Hannelore: But when Moricztill was keeping watch, a gust of wind rang the bell above his head, scaring him so much that he fled immediately.
- Hannelore: Then, just as Max was planning to sneak into the room, another gust of wind knocked over a honey jar by his feet. That woke Granny Marthe up immediately.
- Hannelore: Finally, when Struwell was making his frantic escape, a sudden gust of wind brushed his back. Only when he reached his friends did he find a slip of paper clinging to him...
- Lohen: —Let me guess... was it, "The Anemo Archon is always watching"?
- Lohen: Heh. Isn't it a wonderful trade? The world loses three little troublemakers and gains three devout believers in the Anemo Archon... though I'd give them two days, at most.
- Hannelore: *spluttering* Mr. Lohen! Regardless of your motives, there's a limit to how much you should be terrorizing children. Dragging the Anemo Archon's name into it is equally uncalled for!
Lohen and Insigne

- (Talk to Lohen)
- Lohen: Hmm... where should I start...?
What are you doing?- Lohen: The Knights of Favonius recently received word of a disguised thief in the bazaar. I'm here to bring him into custody.
Are you actually handling petty thieves like this?
Not even going to let a petty thief off the hook?- Lohen: Haha, it's just been far too peaceful lately. And I honestly have no idea why, but ever since I've been stationed at Dornman Port, even the Treasure Hoarders have been reluctant to show up...
- Lohen: It's rare to find someone so clueless... sorry, so "brave" these days. I really must entertain him properly.
- Lohen: Anyway, Honorary Knight, have you encountered any suspicious individuals here recently?
I mean, I have...
...But he disappeared.- Lohen: Hm? Are you implying that he's gone to ground? Now that is interesting.
- (Talk to Lohen again, optional)
- Lohen: We've got knights watching every exit, and I've personally swept the entire perimeter... Could he be hiding somewhere... we wouldn't normally think to look?
- (Go to the following location)
Insigne: You can't see me... You can't see me...
- (Talk to Insigne)
- Insigne: You can't see me... You can't see me...
- Lohen: Hey.
- Insigne: Ahhh!
- Lohen: Watch your step, my good man. What if you crushed a poor little kitten or puppy on your way down?
- Lohen: Although... Scaling such heights certainly makes our interrogation easier. Honorary Knight, have you got any rope? I want to string him up in the corner and see what he has to say for himself.
Shall we hang him upside down?- Lohen: Oho, I was thinking the same thing. What do you think?
- Insigne: I'll talk! I'll tell you everything! Just get me down from here first, I'm begging you!
- Lohen: What? No resistance at all? Well... I suppose that works.
- Lohen: Hope you don't regret not taking the "upside-down hanging" option — the least painful, in my view — when it was still on the table, once you get back to base.
Prune and Philomena
- (Approach Philomena as she is talking to Prune)
Philomena: You poor child. Are you hungry?
Prune: No, no, I'm not hungry. And I'm not a child anymore!
Philomena: If your clothes need mending, let the sisters know.
Philomena: Don't try to mend them yourself with a stapler.
Prune: That's a design element, not a patch-up job!
Philomena: The sisters can help you if you run into any trouble.
Philomena: May the God of Anemo protect you.
Prune: Yeah, yeah, yeah. May the blah blah blah...

Descriptions
As one of the continent's major trade hubs, it welcomes a steady stream of merchant ships from various nations.
However, this theory has been rejected by most researchers, as the idea that one would name a location after a madman is a fairly implausible one.
Other researchers posit that the "Thorn King" mentioned in ancient texts wasn't a god at all, but rather an ancestor of the Gunnhildr clan.

Lore
Story
The history of the site that would become known as Dornman Port dates back to the era of Great Arcadia. Arcadia was composed of several city-states, including Elysium, which was built in what is now known as Windrest Peak,[1] and was controlled by the Gunnhildr Clan.[2] Following the fall of Arcadia, the clan abandoned their lands in Windrest Peak seeking refuge inside Decarabian's city.[3]
After Barbatos ascended as the Anemo Archon and scattered the ice and snow, the Gunnhildr Clan returned north to Windrest Peak, which would later form part of their hereditary fiefdom in Mondstadt, and over time, this region would eventually become the Dornman Port.[2] It's said that the port was named after one of the clan’s ancestors, the Thorn King.[4] And it was here that they established Mondstadt's very first sacred sanctuary dedicated to Barbatos.[2]
During the dark age of the old aristocracy, the Church gradually devolved into a mere puppet of the aristocracy, and to signal a total break from the increasingly tyrannical Imunlaukr Clan, the Gunnhildrs of the time seized the bishop sent from Mondstadt, hurled him from the window of the sanctuary's high tower, and subsequently tore it down, and ever since then, the port has remained without a church.[2]
During Vennessa's rebellion the Gunnhildr Clan sided with the people and were spared from exile unlike the rest of the Aristocracy.[5] After the rebellion, the clan would lead a push to abolish hereditary fiefdoms, and likely set an example in handing over their own fief to the people of Mondstadt.[2]
During the Cataclysm 500 years ago, Dornman Port stood on the brink of destruction. Many knights gave their lives defending their homeland, and their graves now lie beneath the city.[6]
Present Day
Henry Morton states it is "too far away" to charter a boat to the Nameless Island,[7] and its distance from the City of Mondstadt is large enough that the Knights of Favonius' Reconnaissance Company, led by Eula, has to constantly patrol the trading route between Dornman Port and Mondstadt City during Weinlesefest.[8] Legally docking at the port requires a valid entry permit.[9]
Eula and her company once tracked down a dangerous hidden cargo belonging to the Abyss Order to Dornman Port, where it was about to be shipped to Liyue Harbor. Yanfei was, at that time, working as a consultant for the merchant vessel; unaware of the cargo's true nature, she started investigating it after discovering something in it, putting herself in great danger.[10] She was saved from this perilous situation by Eula, and the two then cooperated to investigate and capture all the Abyss Order operatives hiding in the vicinity of the port.[11]
Mona's parents moved to Dornman Port from elsewhere. She was born there and found Barbeloth, after which she settled down in Mondstadt City.[12]
Jones, originally a menial worker at Dornman Port, was recruited by the Kanjou Commission to be a sailor, only to arrive in Ritou and discover that he couldn't leave due to the Sakoku Decree. Following the events of Transient Dreams and the repeal of the Sakoku Decree, Jones returns to Mondstadt via the port in Mondstadt City, but has not yet returned to Dornman Port.
A trading route has opened up between Dornman Port and Port Ormos, Sumeru. A trading company from Dornman Port plans on exporting fruit, although a reply on to their message on the Port Ormos Bulletin Board voices the replier's doubts about the fruit's quality after such a long journey.[13]
In the time before the Knights were about to open a showcase for their alchemical research, the Reconnaissance Company had intercepted a string of attempts to smuggle goods through Dornman Port, which led to them stepping up their patrols. Eula would encounter Captain Beidou and her crew relaxing at a local tavern after The Crux had docked there. After clearing up a misunderstanding about a drunken bar fight that Beidou had quashed, Beidou treated Eula to a drink at the tavern and they struck up a friendship. Beidou had to pick up supplies in Mondstadt City and as Eula wanted to submit some paperwork at headquarters, they ended up traveling together and visiting the Traveler at the alchemical showcase. After picking up a potion made with Ningguang in mind, Beidou headed back for Dornman Port with Eula accompanying her.[9]
Recently, Grand Master Varka ordered several knights from his expedition, including Frederica Gunnhildr, to return to Dornman Port and assist in its defense.[14]
Liben revealed that Dornman Port is known for cargo shipping and flower cultivation. He also mentioned that there used to be a sanatorium up in the hills, but it was torn down a few years ago. It is rumored that once someone goes to the sanatorium, they will remain there forever.[15]
