Kanou is an open-world NPC located in Luyang Academy, Temple of Space after completing World Quest Long Live Life in Series A Long Day in the Mountains: Chapter 1 - Paradise.

Kanou is a painter from Inazuma and one of the "Uplifted," people chosen to be preserved as living memories in the Temple of Space.

He resides at Luyang Academy where he learns how to paint Liyue landscape paintings with Daozi and Castiglione coaching him.^[1][2]

During the World Quest Long Live Life in Series A Long Day in the Mountains: Chapter 1 - Paradise, the Traveler and Paimon free all the people of Luyang Academy from being trapped inside pictures as ink blots, including Kanou.
