Lu Xiangxiang

Lu Xiangxiang is an event-exclusive NPC who appeared in the event A Lanternlit Ode to the Silver Moon.

Profile

Xiangxiang is a member of the Lu family. Her grandfather, Lu Weng, owns the Baiju Guesthouse, while her parents and grandmother are tea farmers in Qiaoying Village. Unlike her family, she showed an interest in archaeology, wanting to become famous and joined a team that dug up various artefacts from Lang-Gan. The excavation disturbed the rest of Zizhi, one of Zibai's Three Deadly Selves. She decided to posses Xiangxiang and sent her to Liyue Harbor, where she caused a ruckus at Wanmin Restaurant, prompting Shenhe to apprehend her and bring her to the Ministry of Civil Affairs.^[3]

She somehow escaped the Qixing and approached Gaming, with the Traveler then recognizing her as Zizhi. Zizhi abandoned Xiangxiang and possessed Gaming just as Yelan arrived, taking her back into custody despite having no memory of the events that occurred.^[4] Her family was notified of her actions and as per family punishment, she would be confined to the family house in the village to grow a tea tree from scratch after the festival was over. She explained to Ziqiao of her circumstances, who told her she should follow what her heart desired. After the meal, she spoke to Xiangling to figure out a path for herself.^[5]

The Traveler later restored Zibai's full form, who then took them on a trip around Liyue through a celestial chariot. They stopped by Qiaoying Village, where they met with her again, who was in the process of growing the tree. Zibai suggested praying to the White Horse Adeptus, and Xiangxiang did, unaware that the person before her was actually the adeptus herself. She was unsurprised when the sapling did not grow, but Zibai suggested that she wait the following day and check once more. She invited them to stay at her family's home for the night, and the following day, the sapling matured, much to her surprise. She then left to inform her family of the development.^[6]
