Ptashka (Russian: Пташка Ptashka) is a quest-exclusive NPC who appears in the Archon Quest Chapter VII: Act II - Wraith's Nocturne.

Profile

Ptashka was a girl who was sick with Frostblight, which during the time of her life, was an incurable illness. Treatments for her illness were not working, so one day, she told her brother, Razyk, to take her out of the hospital and take her to The Korolevskiy Theater, where she succumbed to her illness. According to Chugunov, when she died, she was around the age that his six year old daughter, Iskra, who died to the same illness, would've been during the events of Archon Quest Chapter VII: Act II - Wraith's Nocturne. Due to the effects of the Ley Lines in the theater, her soul was unable to return to the Ley Lines, appearing to others with the memory of her weak body.

In the present day, the Traveler meets her soul and mistakes her for Tartaglia's sister, Tonia. They become trapped in the theater due to a heavy snowstorm, and become involved in a murder mystery case with several others, where two people from the group die each night due to unexplained circumstances. Following the departure of Shram, a fellow soul who had also died in the theater, the amount of victims per night falls to one, leading the group to conclude that there was still one "deceased" among them. Chugunov, aware of the real Tonia's identity and the fact that she got tickets for the theater, correctly determined that Ptashka was one of the "deceased", and lies to the others that she is still alive. However, the Traveler manages to determine that she isn't actually Tonia and she is one of the "deceased". This leads her to explain that "Tonia" was the name of a character in a storybook that she and her brother read, and that she thought this was a fake name that her brother had chosen for her so they wouldn't get caught. Coming to terms with the circumstances of her death, she walks out of the theater, allowing her soul to return to the Ley Lines.
