Dialogue
Available after completing The Last Night, the First Light
- Valdis: Preparation comes first. Only after can we face the Wild Hunt.
What have you readied so far?
- Valdis: Well, let me see... I have a special scent to lure the Mandragoras, Wolfhook for guiding Slothsheep...
- Valdis: Oh dear, looks like I nearly forgot to bring along that Spirebloom specimen I spent so long preparing. Thank you for reminding me.
Um... Why exactly would you need these to deal with the Wild Hunt?
- Valdis: Ha! These are my special tricks of the trade. You can't just confront the Wild Hunt head-on and expect to win.
- Valdis: If you've ever taken a close look at our local flora and fauna, you'd have noticed that, thanks to the effects of kuuvahki, they've all adapted to resist Abyssal corruption in their own ways.
- Valdis: We can set up traps around the camp using that knowledge. They won't help us win outright, but they will at least cause any monsters attempting a sneak attack some trouble.
I'll leave you to it then...
- Valdis: Hmm... I keep feeling like I've forgotten something. But what could it be...?
