Sapphire is a reoccurring location, appearing in many different worlds of Honkai Impact 3. The specifics of the city vary slightly in some of its iterations.

Story

Proper World

Current Era

  • Chapter I:
    • Sapphire is said to be a city with a population of 30 million.[1]
    • It is the crash-destination of the Selene[1] before the ship's course is changed by Schicksal Valkyries, saving the city and its people.[2]

Previous Era

  • Chapter XX:
    • By exploring Fu Hua's memories, Kiana Kaslana and Bronya Zaychik learn that their classmate has left her hometown as a teenager to study at a school in Sapphire during the Previous Era.[3] Said school used standard-issue uniforms,[4] and required tuition.[5]
    • Via another memory, the two girls learn that the city was destroyed after the Third Honkai Eruption, with very few survivors being rescued.[6][7]

Alternate Worlds

Captainverse

  • Sanguine Nights:
    • In the year 2006, the vampire Theresa escapes Schicksal and ends in Sapphire, where she meets the Captain.[8] The city was chosen by Theresa on purpose as it was one of the locations described to her while in captivity.[9]
    • Its notable attractions include a restaurant with a giant HOMU signboard called [HOMU's Joyful Dining], an amusement park with a Ferris wheel called [HOMU World], and arcade game center called simply [Arcade Center].[10]
    • People are noted to be walking around the city even at night and at least some of the food joints are in operation past 3am.[11]

Trivia

  • It was called Soukai City in the old English localization.[12]
