Plot Summary

After arriving at Waifei Peninsula, the Phaethon siblings gradually discover everything the Exaltists and Sarah are doing is aimed at awakening their revered "Creator" from the Hollow. To end the misfortune brought by the Qingming Sword and save the current Sword Keeper Ye Shunguang, her brother Ye Shiyuan resorts to using Sarah's power. To reclaim her brother, Ye Shunguang is forced to use the Qingming Sword. Though she maintains a facade of normalcy in front of others, she's actually suffering from the sword's backlash... As the crisis in the depths of the Hollow draws near, will the slumbering "Creator" truly awaken? Can Ye Shunguang and Yunkui Summit escape their tragic fate?

Etymology

The Chinese name of "To Be Fuel for the Night" (Chinese: 微光引灯时 Wēi Guāng Yǐn Dēng Shí, "When a Tiny Light Guides the Lanterns") is a play on words with 光 guāng, "light", as a reference to Ye Shunguang's name (Chinese: 叶瞬光). This is likely a reference to the meaning of her name, being 即使只是瞬间的光芒，也要将黑夜给点亮 "Even just a momentary flash of light can light up the darkest night".^[1]
