Signal Search

Signal Searches are the main gacha system in Zenless Zone Zero, and are the primary method for obtaining new Agents, W-Engines and Bangboo. Players can unlock Signal Searching for Agents and W-Engines after having completed the Prologue Commission: The Ultimate Collectibles. Signal Searching for Bangboo becomes available after the player has unlocked Turbo Remodeling Shop on Sixth Street.
Signal Searches are divided into different "Channels", with each channel providing a different type of reward.
Stable Channel
The Stable Channel is a channel that offers permanent signal searches, which currently solely refers to Star-Studded Cast.
It offers a non-changing, limited selection of 
-Rank Agents and 
-Rank W-Engines, while also allowing players to obtain 
-Rank Agents and 
-Rank W-Engines.
Exclusive Channel
The Exclusive Channel is a channel that offers limited-time signal searches, with those available changing twice per Version (commonly referred to as "First Half" and "Second Half").
The signal searches available on the exclusive channel will typically feature an -Rank Agent that cannot be obtained outside of their respective signal search, while also featuring 2 -Rank Agents with a drop-rate boost.
- In the Exclusive Channel, the S-Rank Signal Customization feature allows Proxies to select 6 -Rank Agents as their customized Agents and inherit the same data and drop rate rules as the non-featured -Rank Agents in the Exclusive Channel. If the S-Rank Signal obtained is not the featured -Rank Agent, it is guaranteed to be one of the 6 selected -Rank Agents.
- In the Exclusive Channel, the A-Rank Rate Up feature allows Proxies to select 2 -Rank Agents as the current boosted -Rank Agents, inheriting the same data and drop rate rules from the previous -Rank rate-up Agents. If the Proxy does not customize the rate-up Agents, the default -Rank Agents of the current Exclusive Channel will serve as the current -Rank rate-up Agents.
-Rank and -Rank Agents, alongside -Rank W-Engines that can be found in the Stable Channel are also available in these signal searches.
W-Engine Channel
The W-Engine Channel is a channel that offers limited-time signal searches, with those available changing twice per Version (commonly referred to as "First Half" and "Second Half").
The signal searches available on the w-engine channel will typically feature an -Rank W-Engine that cannot be obtained outside of their respective signal search, while also featuring 2 -Rank W-Engines with a drop-rate boost.
- In the W-Engine Channel, the S-Rank Signal Customization feature allows Proxies to select 6 -Rank W-Engines as their customized W-Engines and inherit the same data and drop rate rules as the non-featured -Rank W-Engines in the W-Engine Channel. If the S-Rank Signal obtained is not the featured -Rank W-Engine, it is guaranteed to be one of the 6 selected -Rank W-Engines.

Bangboo Channel
The Bangboo Channel is a channel that offers permanent signal searches, which currently solely refers to An Outstanding Partner.
This is the only channel that offers 
-Rank Combat Bangboo, while also offering many 
-Rank Combat Bangboo.
