Spotlight Theater

Last updated 2026-07-29

The go-to hangout spot for Bangboo on their days off—a legendary theater that's strictly Bangboo-only. Got some free time? Swing by and check out what's playing. Just don't forget to put on the Bangboo disguise.

Spotlight Theater is a Point of Interest in Booastrum District. It is unlocked during the episode New Landing Spot in Season 3 Chapter 1.

Overview

The Spotlight Theater is a Bangboo-exclusive theater managed by Cut. Numerous performances are done here throughout the day and night, performed entirely by Bangboo actors. The theater has a secret passage that leads straight to the En-Nah Gang's hideout, specifically the nearby Phone Booth, which has an elevator leading to the Retroflux Zone.

As it is a Bangboo-only area, the player cannot enter the theater proper until unlocking the Bangboo-tiful Collaboorator headpiece, at which point they will be allowed entry, but the player must be using Phaethon in the overworld, and will be forced to switch to them if they are playing as another Agent.

If the player removes the headpiece, or switches to another agent (including their sibling if they also aren't wearing the helmet, then they are automatically removed from the theater and the following text is displayed:

The Bangboo weren't too thrilled about you showing up without the "Bangboo-tiful Collaboorator," so Mr. Cut politely showed you the door...

Plays

Various plays can be watched at the theater at 6AM and Noon. Watching "Legend of the Brave" and "Meteor Strike" unlocks Interboo posts of the same name. Watching three plays grants the achievement Connoisseur of Refined Arts.

"Legend of the Brave"

(Idle)
Cut: Wuh-ne! Wuh-nuh! (Quiet! Quiet! The show's about to start!)
(Talk to Cut, Wed)
Cut:Wuh-neh! Ehn-ne-nhe! (Right on time! Just what I'd expect from my most loyal human audience!)
Cut:Wuh-ne! Wuh-neh-nhe! (The show is about to begin! Get ready to enjoy the performance!)
Icon Dialogue Talk Give me the rundown on today's play.
Cut:Ehn-ne, wuh-nhe. (Today's play is called "Legend of the Brave," adapted from the well-known legends of Roscaelifer.)
Cut:Wuh-nhe-ne. (A perfect beginner's choice for someone who's interested in the world of stage drama.)
Cut:Wuh-ne-nhe! Wuh-ne! (Alright, find yourself a seat, quick! We're about to kick things off!)
Icon Dialogue Talk Enter the audience seats.
(The play begins)
Icon Dialogue Talk Won't bother you. I'm out...
(Exits Dialogue)
(The play begins. Bangboo Prophet is a Bild N. Boolok, The Brave is an Excaliboo, the Demon King is a Devilboo)
You take a seat in the audience and wait for the show to begin.
A moment later, the opening narration of the play begins.
Narrator: Wuh-ne. Enn-nehh... (Once upon a time, in an age before the Bangboo Kingdom existed. A ruthless Demon King destroyed the Bangboo homeland, forcing the Bangboo to wander endlessly...)
Narrator: Ehen-ne, wuh-neh... (In the depths of endless despair, the greatest prophet among all Bangboo spoke to them...)
Bangboo Prophet: Enn-ne-neh! (We need a great leader who can lead the Bangboo to defeat the Demon King!)
Bangboo Prophet: Ehn-ne-enn-nhe... (He must be fearless enough to go toe-to-toe with the Demon King; he must be virtuous enough that we can place our trust in him without hesitation...)
Bangboo Prophet: Enn-ne-nhe! (Most importantly, he must be recognized by the sacred sword! The Bangboo who pulls the sword from the stone shall be our king!)
???: En-nhe! Ehn-ne! (Oh almighty Prophet! Please, let me have a try!)
Bangboo Prophet: En-en-en-nhe. (Too many young souls arrive burning with ambition, only to leave crushed when they can't draw the sword. All that's left in my heart now... is pity.)
???: Enn-ne-neh! (Like those brave warriors before me, I fear no failure. I'm only thinking of reclaiming our home for the Bangboo! Sacred sword! Please answer my wish!)
Bangboo Prophet: En-nhe! Enn-ne! (Oh! The destined hero! The destined king! The Bangboo are finally seeing the dawn we've been waiting for!)
The Brave: Enn-ne-nhe! (Hey, drawing the sword comes with its own transformation effect — not bad!)
Bangboo Prophet: Ehn-neh, en-ne... (The sword is pulled from the stone, a hero destined to vanquish the Demon King is born, and with them comes chaos and calamity...)
The Brave: Ehn-ne? Enn-neh! (Blah blah blah, whatever — I'm off to slay the Demon King!)
Bangboo Prophet: Ehn-ne! Enn-neh-ne... (Ah, wait a sec! Before the subjugation begins, you'll still need to sign the "Sacred Sword Rental Agreement" and the "Temporary King Employment Contract"...)
The Brave: Ehn-ne-enn-ne? Enn-nhe! (The sword is just on loan? And the king gig is temporary?! Watch out — I'll sue you for fraud!)
Bangboo Prophet: Ehn-ne, enn-ne. (If the sacred sword gets damaged, you gotta pay for it yourself — 'cause that means you weren't brave enough; and if any Boo rebeats you as king, you gotta step down voluntarily — 'cause that's what true noble character looks like.)
The Brave: Enn-ne-neh? (Is it too late to put the sword back now?)
Bangboo Prophet: Enn-neh-ne — enn-nhe! (No can do, it's a one-time deal. Now then, brave one, there's only one path ahead of you — move out, and vanquish the Demon King!)
There's so much to roast, you don't even know where to start...
Then again, once you remember this story is set during the Eridu era, the whole "signing a contract" thing suddenly makes perfect sense.
Narrator: Wuh-ne-nhu... (And so the legend begins. "The Brave" and the "Prophet" finally set out on their journey to defeat the Demon King...)
Narrator: Wuh-ne, enn-nhe... (The two traveled to a village called "Foster"...)
Village Chief: En-nhe! Enn-ne-nhe! (Oh, brave hero! If you're willing to help the Bangboo girl from the west side of the village gather some herbs from the forest, I'll hand over my ancestral armor to you!)
Village Chief: En-nhe-ne! (That armor is indestructible — blades can't pierce it, fire can't burn it, and even the Demon King himself can't lay a finger on you!)
The Brave: Eh-neh! Enn-ne! (That's impressive! It's just some herbs — watch me be back in a flash!)
Narrator: Wuh-ne-ne... (And so, the hero obtained the world's most indestructible armor. They then set off for the next village, "Sekend"...)
Village Chief: Ehn-ne! Enn-nhe-nuh! (Oh, brave adventurer! Help fix the Bangboo guardian's sitting charger on the east side of the village, and I'll hand over my family's treasured gem!)
Village Chief: Enn-ne-nhu! (That gem blazes like pure sunlight. Wherever its rays reach, darkness has nowhere to hide. Even the Demon King can't look at it directly!)
The Brave: En-nhe, en-nhe? (You're telling me I busted my butt doing all this un-hero-worthy grunt work... just to score a portable vibe lamp?)
Bangboo Prophet: Enn-neh-ne... (Ahem, this is also part of a hero's job...)
Narrator: Wuh-ne-ne... (With the rare gem in hand, our heroes pressed on, rolling into the final village — "Lahst"...)
Village Chief: Ehn-ne... (Oh, brave one...)
The Brave: En-nuh? (Just how many villages are you chief of?)
Village Chief: Ehn-ne! Ehn-nhu-neh! (Oh, hero! Help the old Bangboo up north find his lost kitty, and I'll hand over my family's heirloom boots!)
Village Chief: Ehn-ne-ne! (Those boots are light as air — one step and you're riding the wind itself, so fast even the Demon King can't catch you!)
The Brave: Enn-ne-ne. (I can tell now — every single one of you's got some serious skills up your sleeve.)
Narrator: Wuh-nhe-ne... (After collecting all the treasures, "the Brave" and the "Prophet" finally reached the "Demon King's" palace.)
Bangboo Prophet: Ehn-ne-ne! (After countless dangers and trials beyond measure, we finally stand before the Demon King! This battle determines not just victory or defeat — it decides the fate of the Bangboo!)
The Brave: En-ne! Ehn-nhu! (My hands are itching for a fight — I can barely hold back! Let me see, who's the final opponent standing in my way!)
Demon King: Enn-ne... (I return from the edge of darkness, bearing destruction as my name, crowned with the end of days...)
Demon King: Ehn-ne! Ehn-ne— (Here, this is the end for you insignificant worms — O brave one, amuse me with your fleeting brilliance! My true name is—)
The Brave: Enn-ne-ne? Ehn-nhe—(Blah blah blah, what's the babbling about? Take this—)
Demon King: Ehn-ne — en-neh! (Ugh— I was still chanting! You, you don't play fair!)
Demon King: Enn — ne. (Ah — I'm dead.)
Bangboo Prophet: En-neh... en-nhe! (This grueling combat was nothing short of legendary — long, brutal, and utterly relentless. But it was the brave, drawing on courage and cunning that none could match, who made to the very end! Look — the first light of dawn has broken through into the palace!)
Bangboo Prophet: Enn-ne! Ehn-ne-ne! (He has proven his might, and all the Bangboo bow in awe! Thousands upon thousands of Bangboo flood the palace, united in celebration of the new king's rise — and the world turned utterly upside down!)
Bangboo Prophet: En-ne! Ehn-ne-nhe? (Hero! King! What will you proclaim to your people?)
Narrator: Wuh-ne-ne— (The hero plunged the sacred sword into the ground before him, then declared in a loud voice—)
The Brave: Enn-ne-ne! (Whosoever pulls this sword shall be crowned King of the Bangboo Kingdom!)
That's the end. And the cast takes a bow.
The sound of applause fills the air, wave after wave. Bangboo arms may be too stubby to clap, but their playback devices more than make up for it.
Seems like the Bangboo are really into this show.

Meteor Strike

(Idle)
Cut: Wuh-ne! Wuh-nuh! (Quiet! Quiet! The show's about to start!)
(Talk to Cut)
'Cut: Wuh-ne! Wuh-ne-ne! (You're here! Today's drama wouldn't have happened without you!)
Cut:Wuh-ne! Wuh-neh-nhe! (The show is about to begin! Get ready to enjoy the performance!)
Icon Dialogue Talk Give me the rundown on today's play.
Cut:Ehn-ne, wuh-nhu! (Today's stage play is called "Meteor Strike," and you're probably pretty familiar with it — after all, I wrote this script based on stories from your companion Eous!)
Cut:Wuh-nhe-ne! (Eous will also make a special appearance — let's see just how good your friend's acting chops really are!)
Cut:Wuh-ne-nhe! Wuh-ne! (Alright, find yourself a seat, quick! We're about to kick things off!)
Icon Dialogue Talk Enter the audience seats.
Icon Dialogue Talk Won't bother you. I'm out...
(Exits Dialogue)
(The play begins. Tsukimi Miyabi is a Miyaboo, Harutada is an Asaboo, Seikaku is a Soukaboo, Proxy wears Ninne's outfit, and Girbring is a Baddieboo)
You head to the audience seats and wait for the show to begin.
Watching a story from your own past play out on stage — you're part excited, part nervous.
Then, familiar yet not-so-familiar faces take the stage one by one...
Tsukimi Miyabi: En-en, en-ne-ne. (Hollow Special Operations Section 66, Tsuikmi [sic] Miyabi — Eradicate all evil.)
Harutada: En-nhe-en. En-nhe? (This is Harutada from Hollow Special Operations Section 66. Need something? Hit up my workmate~)
Seikaku: Ehn-ne! Enn-ne-ne? (Seikaku? Here! Do they feed you if you're in a stage play?)
Well, should've seen that coming.
The first half of the story isn't much different from what you remember.
Lost in the memories, you barely notice the plot has already reached the eve of the showdown...
Tsukimi Miyabi: En-ne-en-ne. (Proxy, you made it. According to our informant's intelligence, Girbring is just up ahead.)
Tsukimi Miyabi: Ehn-nuh-neh. (This time, we've got the upper hand.)
Proxy: Enn-ne-neh! (The portable travel system is all set — ready to roll wenever you are!)
Harutada: Ehn-ne... (Which means... overtime's about to kick in...)
Seikaku: Enn-nhe-ne! (Once this is all wrapped up, I am so treating myself to a proper meal!)
Proxy: Ehn-ne! Enn-nuh! (Alright, let's get ready to move in! Leave the navigation inside the Hollow to me!)
Tsukimi Miyabi: Enn-ne-ne... (Let's go... Now for the most important training.)
Narrator: Wuh-ne, enn-neh! (Section 66 of the Hollow Special Operations swiftly dived into the Hollow, launching a pursuit against the fleeing Girbring...)
Narrator: Wuh-ne-ne! (The swiftest in action, "Harutada" is the first to spot Girbring!)
Harutada: Ehn-ne! Enn-ne-nhe! (Gotcha, Girbring! The Chief and the others are on their way — you're cornered, so give it up!)
Girbring: Enn-ne-neh... (Hmph, I'd expect nothing less from Section 66. You caught up real fast...)
Girbring: Ehn-neh-ne! (Fine — since you've delivered yourselves, I won't have to hunt you down later!)
Girbring: Ehn-ne!! (Feast your eyes on this — the perfect form that will lead us into the Age of Hollow!!)
Harutada: Ehn-ne! Enn-ne-ne! (Such an intense aura! Better avoid going head-to-head... just stall for time until the Chief sends support!)
The two performers look like they're standing still, but they're actually darting around the stage at speeds the naked eye can barely catch.
But with a Proxy's dynamic vision? I can see every single move they make, clear as day!
Girbring: Ehn-ne-ne! Ehn-ne! (You're the one who came chasing after me, and now you're running around like a headless chicken! So embarrassing!)
Girbring bursts forward, raining down a flurry of devastating blows on Harutada.
*As seen through the Proxy's dynamic vision.
Harutada: Ehn-ne! En-ne-nhu! (That was close! But even a one-hit-kill attack is useless if it doesn't land!)
Harutada weaves and dodges through the relentless barrage of attacks, firing back with electric-charged arrows the moment an opening appears.
*As seen through Proxy's dynamic vision.
Girbring: Enn-ne-nhe! Enn-neh? (Sure, your arrows can hit — but they tickle! You call that a "useful" attack?)
Harutada: Ehn-ne... enn-ne-ne. (Every little bit adds up... Man, this overtime is no joke.)
After an intense chase, the two actors finally come to a stop, facing off at a distance of several paces.
*Even without Proxy's dynamic vision, this is clear enough to see — and dynamic vision gets tiring with overuse anyway.
Harutada: Ehn-ne-ne... (My body can't keep up with this level of intense combat forever...)
Girbring: Ehn-ne? Enn-nuh? (What's wrong? Already worn out?)
Harutada: Enn-ne-nhe? (You too, huh? Already paralyzed by the electric current, can't even move an inch, can ya?)
Girbring: Ehn-ne-en-nhu! (Sure, my movements might be a little slow, but I can still walk right up to you and land a hit, no problem!)
Just as Girbring throws a punch, Seikaku darts in and swings a blade banner, knocking Girbring back.
Seikaku: Ehn-ne-nhe! (Harutada, Hope I'm not late!)
Girbring: Ehn-ne! En-nhe! (Perfect timing! Little Seikaku, the rest is up to you!)
Seikaku: Ehn-ne-nhe! (Yeah! Watch me send him flying!)
Girbring: Ehn-ne? Ehn-nhe! (A strength contest this time, right? Bring it on!)
Seikaku: Enn-ne-ne— (Hey-ya! Pudding Slash—)
Girbring: Ehn-nhe-ne! (Take this! Girbring's Big Hand!)
The attacks of Seikaku and Girbring collide with bone-crushing force, sending a heavy, reverberating boom crashing through the air.
*Still as seen through Proxy's sharp dynamic vision.
Girbring: Ehn-ne! Enn-nhu! (My pain! Is greater than yours!)
Seikaku: Ehn-ne-ne! Ehn-nuh? (They say in a knife fight, left side always loses! ...Wait, hold up — ain't that my side?!)
Two forces clash hard — fist met blade, and the air between them gets squeezed out so fast it triggers a shockwave!
*Still seen through Proxy's dynamic vision.
Watched from a distance, both figures blur and warp through the trembling air... Now that's tension!
*Still as seen through the Proxy's dynamic vision.
Girbring: Ehn-nu! (It's my victory!)
Seikaku: Ehn-ne-ne-ne! (Damn it! That guy's strength totally outmatches Seikaku! He's gotta be eating way more than Seikaku!)
Girbring: Ehn-ne-ne! (An attack that weak? All it does is give me a slight chill at best!)
"Ehn-neh... (Electric current... Cold...)"
The next to arrive on the battlefield — Tsukimi Miyabi!
Seikaku: En-nah! (Chief, you're here!)
Girbring: Ehn-ne-nhe! (The great and mighty Tsukimi Miyabi, huh... Your little friends couldn't even scratch me. I'm still at full strength — and I'll take you down the same way!)
Tsukimi Miyabi: Ehn-ne? (You're cold, aren't you?)
Girbring: Ehn-ne? Enn-nuh! (What does that even mean? Whatever, doesn't matter — I'll end you with the power of the cursed blade!)
Tsukimi Miyabi: Ehn-ne-nhe. (In other words... you're in a state of "disorder".)
Tsukimi Miyabi lunges forward, blade drawn, thrusting at blinding speed — a layer of ice unlike any other materializes across Girbring's body.
*Yep, yep. Still all about that dynamic vision.
Tsukimi Miyabi: Ehn-neh-ne! (Six out of six, everything's all set—)
A burst of intense music seems to echo in your ears—
*This time it's dynamic listening.
Girbring: Ehn-ne— (Gonna cut you all down—)
Tsukimi Miyabi: Ehn-ne... (I am the storm that's coming...)
Tsukimi Miyabi: Ehn-ne— (Wind up, one slash, cut through—)
One slash. Done.
HSO Section 66 has finally taken down Girbring. Congrats all around.
The credits roll, and the cast takes their bow.
Sure, it's a little different from what you remember, but hey — it's a stage production. Some creative liberties are totally normal, right?
Right now, the most important thing is probably to check whether something weird has gotten mixed into Eous's memory unit.

Rehersal

(Idle)
Cut: Wah-nah-nah! Wah-nah! (This is a brand-new play that hasn't even premiered yet! Keep it under wraps!)
(Talk to Cut)
Cut: Wuh-ne! Wuh-ne-ne! (Hey! We're rehearsing a new play here!)
Cut: Wuh-ne, wuh-ne-ne... (I could let you take a look, as long as you keep it a secret...)
Icon Dialogue Talk Nice! A sneak preview!
Cut: Wuh-ne-ne! Wuh-ne-nuh— (Heh, I knew you were excited for my new play! Actors! Lights! Everyone to your positions—)
Icon Dialogue Talk I'll wait for the official premiere.
Cut: Wuh-ne-ne. (What a shame, you missed your chance to give Director Cut some advice.)
(Exits Dialogue)
The play tells the story of an underachieving backup singer who meets a mysterious figure in his dreams, who teaches him how to use his voice...
Now, they are on stage, singing at the top of their lungs.
Rovy: Ehn-ne~ Ehn-ne~♪ (You've known the truth all along~♪ That secret's tied to me~♪)
Rhythm: Ehn-ne-ne~♪ (I'm your speaker~♪ And every song I sing is about you~♪)
Rovy: Ehn! Ehn-ne!♪ (Oh! The singing angel!♪)
Rhythm: Ehn! Ehn-ne!♪ (Oh! My voice module!♪)
The lyrics are hard to follow, and the melody... sounds slightly off-key too.
Rovy: Ehn-ne-ne! (Come on! Sing your heart out!)
Rhythm: Ne~♪ (Ahh~♪)
Wow! The high notes are actually pretty good!
Rovy: Ehn-ne! (Sing it!)
Rhythm: Ne!♪ (Ah!♪)
Hmm? If you're hearing it right, that high note doesn't quite land.
Rovy: Ehn-ne! (Higher!! Go higher!!)
Rhythm: Ehn-ne—!! (Ahh—!!)
It completely cracked!! You can't even tell what pitch that is anymore!
Rovy: Ehn-ne—!! (Perfect—!!)
After sitting through a performance that was truly "so loud it hurt your eyes," Director Kat asks for your thoughts.
Cut: Wuh-ne? Wuh-ne-nuh! (What do you think? Our new show!)
Icon Dialogue Talk It's hard to say...
Cut: Wuh-ne-ne! (Haha, looks like the performance left you speechless!)
Cut: Wuh-ne! Wuh-ne. (That's perfectly normal! I wasn't much calmer than you when I first watched the rehearsal.)
Cut: Wuh-ne-ne! (Art truly has an incredible impact!)
