NPC Interactions
- (Talk to Troubled Man by the shipping warehouse - 6AM-6PM)
- Troubled Man: I've asked a million times. But now, the shipping company insists that they won't be able to ship even a single container before next month.
- Pessimistic Man: But if this batch of goods can't be delivered on time, we're all done for.
- Troubled Man: Tell the team leader to prepare for a price increase.
- Troubled Man: Anyway, those spectators are just waiting for the positioning and observation results of the Companion Hollow on the shipping route to come out.
- Troubled Man: If there's no risk of the Hollow expanding, the container rental prices on this route should stabilize soon.
- Pessimistic Man: Settle down...
- Pessimistic Man: At 50,000 Denny [sic] per container?
- (Talk to Curious Child on the docks - 6PM)
- Curious Child: Mom, why is the sea blue?
- Proud Mom: That's because sunlight scatters in seawater.
- Proud Mom: Blue and green light in sunlight, with shorter wavelengths, have weaker penetration power and are easily scattered; while red and orange light, with longer wavelengths, have stronger penetration power and are easily absorbed by seawater.
- Proud Mom: With red and orange light absorbed, the scattered blue and green light makes the sea appear blue.
- Curious Child: ...
- Proud Mom: Now—time to think critically!
- Proud Mom: Sweetie, can you explain why the sky is blue?
- (Talk to Confused Child by the warehouse - 6PM)
- Confused Child: Dad, why is seawalter salty?
- Patient Dad: Hmm... let me think. Has [sic] you ever tasted the flavor of tears?
- Confused Child: Yes! Tears are salty!
- Patient Dad: That's right! Seawater is salty because there are sad sea monsters in the ocean crying tears.
- Confused Child: Why are the sea monsters crying?
- Patient Dad: Once upon a time, all the sea monsters lived together carefree.
- Patient Dad: Until one day, an accident happened. Suddenly, ocean currents changed, and the Hollows emerged, separating some poor sea monsters from their relatives and friends.
- Patient Dad: Those lonely sea monsters always shed tears in the depths of the ocean... and that's how seawater became salty.
- Confused Child: That's terrible. Dad, let's never be apart. I don't want to shed tears in loneliness like the sea monsters.
- Patient Dad: We will be together forever, my little darling. I promise.
- (Talk to Excited Tourist and Cautious Tourist)
- Excited Tourist: We're finally here—I'm heading out to sea right now!
- Excited Tourist: I want to ride a speedboat! Go sea fishing! Try parasailing! And sail a yacht!
(Such energy.)
(Truly "brave," huh?)- Cautious Tourist: Just looking at the signs, you can't even fish in this water. The things you said are even more...
- Excited Tourist: What?! But there are plenty of fishing rods lying around here!
- Excited Tourist: Since fishing is allowed, surely we can ride speedboats, play with gliders, and sail yachts too!
- Cautious Tourist: ...Turn your head that way.
- Cautious Tourist: Do you see it? That over there is the Port Elpis Hollow.
- Cautious Tourist: Going parasailing near a Hollow? Do you want to fall in and turn into a winged Ethereal?
