Rovere Pellicia is an event-exclusive NPC who appeared in the Event Tracing Vanishing Trails.
Profile
At some point, Rovere trained under Rocky Avildsen's master.
As the "Dark Financier", Rovere was the secretive head of a large criminal syndicate spanning over ten years of operation. With the help of hundreds of subordinates, he concealed the origins of his own and other criminals' illicitly obtained funds through a variety of Mora-laundering practices. One common method involved having his subordinates buy goods that could pass as antiques or fine art, such as Chenyu Vale tea sets, at relatively lower prices, then arranging for accomplices to place artificially inflated bids for them at auctions using his own illegally gained Mora, making the income seem legitimate. According to Yelan, the syndicate laundered over ten digits worth of Mora, implying that they had made at least tens of millions of Mora from their illicit deals.
Due to the scale of his criminal activities, the authorities in Liyue, Sumeru and Fontaine decided to work together to crack down on Rovere's operations, dismantling thirteen of his strongholds and arresting numerous subordinates in the span of six months, while he was forced to write others off as a lost cause. By the events of Tracing Vanishing Trails, Rovere was reduced to only a former fraction of his criminal enterprise, relying on Doddamani and Corder. However, knowing that the authorities were also on their trail, Rovere hired the famed Treasure Hoarder Scamface. Aware that the cargo could not reach the auction, Rovere had Scamface attempt to blow the ship up so the authorities would divert attention onto Scamface. This plot was foiled by the Traveler and Yelan, forcing Rovere to proceed to the auction. He hired Diderot to get the goods off the market, but Diderot was outbidded and soon apprehended. Worried over his family, Diderot agreed to expose Rovere.
The following day, the Traveler, Yelan and Diderot arrived at a meeting point and sent off a message informing Rovere to come. Rovere scolded Diderot for his failures before Yelan confronted him. Rovere admitted that he saw the decline of his enterprise. He decided to take revenge on Yelan, hoping to end her life in revenge for destroying his livelihood, assisted by several clockwork meka he had bought. They were no match for her, and he soon called her a demon when she viciously castigated him for his crimes. Edler then arrived and knocked him out with her truncheon, and Rovere was taken into custody to face the crimes he had committed.
