Valiant Chronicles

Valiant Chronicles are Local Legend bounties found across Teyvat.

After reaching Adventure Rank 55, Valiant Chronicles can be accessed by speaking to Katheryne.

There are three challenge objectives per Local Legend that provide rewards when achieved, along with Avatar Frames after a certain number of objectives are completed. Multiple objectives for the same Local Legend may be achieved during a single encounter, though a minimum World Level of 9 is required to achieve the third objective.

Some of the Local Legends require completion of specific World or Archon quests before they can be accessed.

There are two set of Valiant Chronicles; one set for Local Legends released during the Luna versions, and another set for Local Legends released during the Snezhnaya versions.

Sigurd

Main article: Sigurd (Local Legend)

A valiant warrior who resisted the dark calamity in ancient days. Though his life's spark has been extinguished, his unbending will has yet to fade, and those who sword to become hunters of the Wild Hunt continues his endless battle even today. The dark abyss's corrosion has seeped into his marrow, causing him to lose his way, but the desire to defend his hearth and home will surely reignite, reawakening him to continue a bitter, eternal battle.

Crab Tsar

Main article: Crab Tsar

Its mind infected by ancient moonlight, this ruler of crabs was plunged for a time into delirium and madness. But just as it was about to unleash its might, it suffered a crushing defeat at the hand of a thief who broke into its court, rendering it more agreeable. Even so, this crustacean suzerain yet yearns to clash pincers with strong foes, longing to triumph over opponents worthy of its full might.

Raskolnikov

Main article: Raskolnikov

Employed at the titanic Kuuvahki Experimental Design Bureau, Poruchik Raskolnikov fulfills his role as a cog in the machine perfectly, executing every order without question, and doing his duty in silence and with precision.

Hexadecatonic Mandragora

Main article: Hexadecatonic Mandragora

An exceptionally large Mandragora, likely produced through an extended artificial selection process. Although the original objective behind its cultivation is no longer known, the organism has an atypical territorial behavioral profile that suggests it may have been the product of a controlled social experiment.

Hiljetta

Main article: Hiljetta (Local Legend)

A legendary figure in the history of the Treasure Hoarders, Hiljetta was once feared and respected under the name "Black-Barrel Hag." Her exploits led to countless unforgettable tales and just as many grudges. Now living in seclusion somewhere in Nod-Krai, she spends her days lost in memories of her former glory. Her final wish is to find a worthy successor, someone who can carry forward the great dream she never managed to realize.

"The Homesick Lone Wolf"

A lone wolf estranged from the local pack, with its teal mane indicating a bloodline from a faraway land. Perhaps it is the echo of its ancestors that still lingers in its veins, for it remains steadfast in guarding a sword cemetery long forgotten by the world. In the moonlight, it waits endlessly for a knight who will never find their way home.

Churldric

Main article: Churldric

A Samachurl adept at making delicious fish soup and who appears to enjoy a particular prestige among the local tribes. Legend has it that in the ancient underground kingdom where cooking ingredients were scarce, the pot was regarded as a symbol of the Praetorian Legion. As such, the legion's commander was also known as the "Ladler of Broth." Though said kingdom has long since passed into history, this tradition has somehow survived, albeit in a distorted form.

"Maha Vasudevayaputra"

Main article: "Maha Vasudevayaputra"

Said to be a descendant of an ancient deity widely worshipped in Sumeru, the World-Bestowing Lord, this being exudes an aroma uniquely rich and savory, one unmistakably belonging to fungi. The belief that plump shrooms are gifts from the gods, even manifestations of sacred flesh, has had a long and venerable history in Sumeru. However, the fact that the Dendro Archon bears no evident connection to fungi at all has been a contradiction that has troubled Vahumana researchers for years and years. Nevertheless, should they be granted a glimpse of this divine scion's true form, maybe they would also finally have the answer to this long-standing puzzle.

"Mushteshir"

Main article: "Mushteshir"

The first "Precursor's Secret Source Matrix of Overseer Network" ever to remain upon the lunar surface. It is said to be a prototype built by the dragon researcher Maagees-Geti. It was originally created as a cooperative mechanism to aid in lunar research. But as time passed, it was entrusted with power and responsibilities far beyond the purpose for which it had first been designed. The one who made it has long since forgotten the name "Mushteshir." Yet the machine still remembers the duty bound to that name: to be a guide, a pioneer, and an eternal sentinel watching over the stars that have yet to be reached.

Prism Slime

Main article: Prism Slime

Legend says that the first element was once dispersed like light through a prism, until the Creator high above separated it into seven forms. Only then did life upon the earth gain fixed substance and shape. Only here, in this corner of the moon, can elemental forms taken from the mortal world be steeped in flawless source-light, allowing them to retrace their origins and return to the primordial state in which all things were one. Perhaps the primordial light said to reverse destruction works by the same principle.

II - Snezhnaya

Churin

Main article: Churin (Local Legend)

A Domovoy who studied Prime Ice sculpting diligently under Bragin, a Volkodlak master sculptor. However, Bragin's technique placed speed above all else, prioritizing the completion of works in the shortest possible time, and his training mostly focused on physical conditioning and technique. Naturally, Churin's days of hard work as an apprentice did little to cultivate any artistic sensibility, but he soon discovered that he had become the best fighter among all the apprentices...

Bandersnatch

Main article: Bandersnatch

A product of bio-alchemy, once flourished in Snezhnaya. Back then, the elements of all life were countless puzzle pieces scattered across the ground, and the researchers who experimented with them pieced them together as they pleased. Most of their creations, however, violated the laws of the world and perished in failure. Lurking in the dark, fixing its vacant gaze upon its prey as it moves through rock, earth, ice and snow, this monster may be the most cunning of those that still remain in the world today.

Furiosa

Main article: Furiosa (Local Legend)

A Volkodlak archer who once nearly lost her life. After undergoing alchemical modification, her body's strength surpassed the limits of living beings, and she gained a measure of authority over trees. She was meant to cast off her former body and fully transform into a life-form beyond time, one closer to eternity. But at that final moment, she chose to abandon that path. And so, she remains in a state as though her body has been parasitized by trees.

Local Legends
Local Legends are formidable foes spread out throughout the world, combatants whose abilities far outstrip those of an ordinary stripe. Take care when engaging them!

Eligibility
You will unlock the Local Legend challenges present in "Valiant Chronicles" after reaching Adventure Rank 55. Local Legends you have defeated before unlocking this will not be included in the record.
All Local Legends will have to be defeated at World Level 8 or higher for the challenge objectives to be considered complete.

Co-Op Rules
After "Valiant Chronicles" is unlocked, some Local Legend battles can be conducted together with other Travelers. As to whether World Level requirements for completing challenges are met, this will depend on the Co-Op Host's World Level.
