Vaselisa Strivozha, also known as The Pure One, was the first Grand Duchess of the Vila.[3] She was renowned as a Sword Saint of the Vila, but was single-handedly defeated by Monomakh Snezhnyi.[4] Afterwards, she denounced Miscislav and his envoys, and the Vila ceased their tributes to the Volkodlak Alliance;[5] instead, they switched their allegiance to the Pale Star Court of Monomakh and joined him in his campaign to unify the Snowland Fae.[6]

  • About the Belyi Tsar
(‍Traveler‍): Apparently, Snezhnaya was first united by a great fae known as the "Belyi Tsar."
Paimon: Oh yeah, he was the previous Cryo Archon, right? The fae seem to mention him a lot. Pretty impressive that he managed to unite such a huge territory. Must have been quite a guy.
(‍Traveler‍): He sure was. I read in a history book written by the fae that his first step was to defeat the Domovoy lords...
Paimon: Well... baby steps, huh? The Domovoy are kinda... petite. Can't imagine they put up much of a fight.
(‍Traveler‍): Next, he single-handedly defeated the Sword Saint of the Vila...
Paimon: Wow, really? Well, fair enough — Paimon's sure the sword saint was super talented, but strength always beats skill at the end of the day. If the Belyi Tsar was just crazy strong, it's not the sword saint's fault if they couldn't beat him.
(‍Traveler‍): Finally, he defeated the entire Volkodlak Alliance... Single-handedly, again.
Paimon: Okay, wait! There's crazy strong and then there's straight-up ridiculous... Who was this Belyi Tsar, anyway? Some sort of thirty-storey-tall fae?
(‍Traveler‍): No, nothing like that. The fae who actually met him in person describe him as a handsome man of ordinary human height.
Paimon: Huh. Okay, so apparently a fae's strength doesn't come from their size... Where the heck does it come from, then? Hair color? "Belyi" means "white," right? Maybe that was his secret.
(‍Traveler‍): Interesting theory. You have white hair too, Paimon — as well as a few nicknames with "white" in there somewhere. Maybe it's a secret sign of imperial power...
(‍Traveler‍): I think I see what you're saying. The next time we get into a fight with a tough fae, I'll let you handle it.
Paimon: Hey! Don't put words in Paimon's mouth, that is not what she meant! ...And quit looking at Paimon with those puppy-dog eyes. Not gonna happen!
