"Zver"

"Zver" (Russian: «Зверь» "Zver'", ""Beast"") is a quest-exclusive NPC who appears in the World Quest The Stone Beasts, Like Ghouls Seated in Series On One Side a Palace, On the Other a Tomb.
Profile
Zver is a Chimeric Winged Lion, a bio-alchemical creation of Koshchei at Hvergelmir. The fusion of a lion and a bird embryo into a single body left it with two heads, one resembling each creature.[3][4] Unlike other Winged Lions, Zver had a degree of sentience, which prompted the Belyi Tsar to take pity and bring it into his court instead of letting Koshchei destroy it. Zver eventually became the Belyi Tsar's companion and the commander of the Aberrant Chimeric Monsters in the fight against the Abyss.[1]
Some time before the Cataclysm, it executed Solovei's Brother, when he witnessed something at Hvergelmir that he wasn't supposed to see.[1][5]
During the Cataclysm, Zver led the Aberrant Chimeric Monsters to fight alongside the Tsar and his fae forces. In the ensuing battle, the Tsar was killed and their forces routed. Zver dragged the Tsar's body back to the Pale Crown Palace while being badly injured.[1]
Following the Tsar's death, Zver remained in the Pale Crown Palace for the next 500 years, faithfully guarding his remains from unworthy trespassers. When the Eye of Graeae detected a fragment of its power in the palace, the Traveler took it there to reclaim it. Zver noticed their presence and sent Chimeric Monsters at them in an attempt to drive them off. They were unsuccessful and Zver had to deal with the intruders himself.[1]
After being defeated by the Traveler and upon learning why they came, Zver laughed and mocked the Eye of Graeae's situation. In his dying breath, Zver asked the Tsar if he could finally follow him into the afterlife for his loyalty, while mocking the Eye of Graeae for becoming the most pathetic of them "all."[1]
Appearance
Zver shares a similar appearance to that of a Chimeric Winged Lion. However, as part of his "elevated" status, he has a yellow mane and the rest of his body has bright white fur.
