A Post-Honkai Odyssey Chapter 2
Last updated 2026-07-02
A Post-Honkai Odyssey Chapter 2, or APHO 2 for short, is an Open World map that continues the story of A Post-Honkai Odyssey (APHO).
Characters
In the first phase, similar to the first chapter, the player may only control three characters in APHO 2:
- Main Character (APHO), a melee fire character,
- Bronya Zaychik, a ranged physical character,
- Timido Cute, a melee ice character.
- After gaining access to St. Fountain, the player will also be able to control:
- Raiden Mei, a melee lightning character.
- Carole Pepper, a melee physical support character and shopkeeper.
- In addition, the supporting cast includes:
- Lyle Collodi, a sniper who assists the player in combat
- After gaining access to St. Fountain, the player will also be able to control:
Daily Tasks
The player may accept 3
Stamina-free tasks every day. Upon reaching Moon Ring level 20 Daily Tasks will switch over to Adventure Tasks. Daily Tasks do not count for missions requiring completion of Adventure Tasks.
Adventure Tasks
The player may accept up to 5 daily tasks every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Similar to other Open Worlds, the task is chosen freely from 3 choices, each having different rewards and objectives. The three choices may be rerolled up to 15 times a day for free, after which each reroll costs an increasing amount of
Volatile Krystallum. Each task has a corresponding task giver. Complete the task to increase the corresponding character rating.
Moon Ring
First introduced by Bronya Zaychik to help the Main Character (APHO) from Honkai Overdose and possible zombification, the Moon Ring is the latest invention of the Schicksal Arms R&D which can turn Honkai Energy into General-Purpose Energy. It keeps absorbing the wearer's Honkai Energy and turning it into other forms of energy and create an amplification conduit for team members, while reducing the explosive Honkai energy's damage. A gag in the story developed when the Main Character thought himself as a battery, due to him having so much Honkai Energy from Honkai Corruption that when the Moon Ring converts it into another form of countless energy, only for Bronya to say that the Moon Ring is the battery, not him.
As the Overseer said (currently Theresa Apocalypse), it is the byproduct of the Selene System. It may not be as powerful as the Selene System, not even remotely close to it's power and performance, but it's easy to carry and use, and it is readily available for single combat. Leveling and upgrading the Moon Ring is also the overarching form of progress in APHO 2. As Captains progress through the game, they will get to unlock and upgrade various Moon Ring Cores, access other parts of the map, access Stargates, and be able to level characters 3 times higher than the current Moon Ring Level.
Moon Ring Level
Moon Ring Level limits story progress and maximum character level. Moon Ring Levels may be gained from Daily Tasks and by completing APHO 2 story quests or side quests.
Moon Ring Core
The player may choose to activate one of four Moon Ring Cores, which increase character combat prowess. Each core has 7 levels, which are unlocked automatically with Moon Ring Levels. Equipping the
Twins Expansion Chip lets Captains activate all four cores at once.

White Heat
When fighting, the player accumulates Moon Ring Energy for specific actions depending on the equipped Moon Ring Core. When the energy is at 100%, the Moon Ring can be activated to enter White Heat. The effects of White Heat depend on the equipped Moon Ring Core. Activating White Heat activates Lyle's equipped Support Skill. If using the
Twins Expansion Chip, Lyle's Support Skill will be changed to a special support. Different characters will receive another character's support when they enter White Heat. Lyle's own skills will also remain in effect.
The special support combinations when the
Twins Expansion Chip is equipped are:
- Main Character (APHO) - Carole Pepper (APHO): Deadfire's Chase Twin Ultimate
- Bronya Zaychik (APHO) - Raiden Mei (APHO): Silver Rush Twin Ultimate
- Timido Cute - Lyle Collodi: Bullets & Skates Twin Ultimate
White Heat Base Effects
- White Heat triggers Lyle's special support skill.
- White Heat grants 1.5s of invincibility to the team.
- In White Heat, all team members gain Improved Ignore Interrupt and 50% DMG Reduction.
- In White Heat, all attacks are guaranteed to crit and Crit DMG is increased by 50%.
- White Heat lasts for 10s.
Union Fever System
A Honkai Energy Transfer and Transport solution developed by Schicksal, which absorbs Honkai energy and uses it to form a network, evenly distributing the burden of Honkai Corruption to every member on the team. To use it, each member must wear the Moon Ring device.
Union Fever - Unlimited Zone
Also known as Unlimited White Heat. Due to the Moon Ring's small factor (being the mini version of the Selene system), the Moon Ring can only sustain the simultaneous activation of a certain number of core components. However, according to the reports of the Schicksal Arms R&D Team, one of the core features of the Moon Ring is that evolves in combat and grow together with the wearer. This is further indicated as we have to collect info on various bosses before we unlock the
Twins Expansion Chip that lets us use all Moon Cores at once. In theory, with sufficient combat data, the Moon Ring can breach its intended power limit and unlock new possibilities. This form of Union Fever System is also called the "Union Fever - Unlimited Zone." As of now, it is still a theory. Whether it can be achieved and how, remains a mystery.
Submerged City
The Submerged City is a fractured and strange space discovered by the squad—Its remains resemble structures found in False Bay.
Similar to Ruins in APHO, Submerged City is a challenge mode, in which players may clear up to 43 floors of enemies for
Starkeys. Submerged City resets weekly.
Judgment Falls
A new challenge mode introduced in APHO Chapter 2. Judgment Falls is a high difficulty, challenging game mode where Captains can challenge all the powerful enemies that appear in the story. In each stage, Captains can challenge one powerful enemy, and the final stage is the ultimate trial that requires Captains to take turns challenging all the powerful enemies. During this period, player cannot change their lineup. Clear all the previous stages to unlock the last stage. In Judgment Falls, the battle time of each stage will be recorded. A one-time reward will be issued according to the length of battle. At the same time, the system will also record the player's clear time and ranking.
Fights in this mode also have some of the bosses from A Post-Honkai Odyssey Chapter 1, such as Code XX - Judgment and Code XXI - World.
- Bosses that appears in this mode are:
- Code XII - The Hanged Man
- Code XIII - The Death
- Code III - The Empress
- Code XX - Judgment
- Code XXI - World
- Void Archives
- Code XVI - The Tower Lucheni
- The Revelation. ??? (Boss Rush mode, does not include Lucheni)
